Jaa, #YouTube hat ein neues Feature namens „gleichbleibende Lautstärke” bzw. „#StableVolume” nun auch in der Browser-Version. Wie geil ist das denn?
Im Zweifel leider gar nicht geil. YouTube meint dazu:
„Stable volume balances the range between quiet and loud, continuously adjusting volume levels to reduce variations in sound.“
Bei den von mir hochgeladenen Videos mit Musikstücken war die Funktion nicht verfügbar – zum Glück, so bleibt die Dynamik der Aufnahmen erhalten. Bei den Videos mit klassischer Musik wäre eine laufende Lautstärke-Anpassung nicht unbequem, sondern schlicht ein Desaster.
Bei den ersten vier Spielfilmen, die ich als Stichprobe fand, waren aber „gleichbleibende Lautstärke“ aktiviert.
Das heißt, auf YouTube gibt es nicht mehr den Filmsound, wie ihn der Sound Designer und Film Mixer gemacht haben, sondern wie YouTube es für besser hält.
Den meisten Rezipienten wird das freilich wieder mal völlig egal sein.
