Domestic bliss at #LikaLodge : It’s #raining. I made a bed for the #Dog. #Bike is here too, covered a bit. #Fireplace & #tea. This morning I had breakfast at sunrise, under #Lipa / #Linden . Earlier I made a room-divider from a #patchwork curtain I got at #DeGrowth conference last year. Memories & fantasies… plus enjoying the moment!
Morning my pet. Today's breakfast is an absolutely mouthwatering dish of tempeh bacon, eggs, and cheese on toast. I ended up eating three of these before yoga. Eating something delicious yet healthy is one of the best ways to exercise self care. You will take care of yourself, won't you dear? Tell me how you're taking care of yourself today. ❤️
Prosbloom is one of my favorite White2Tea skull themed labels. The tea itself is high quality, reasonable price, fresh shou puerh tea. 2021, just getting better with age.
Honeyed Pomelo Dancong from White2Tea. Good, but not my favorite Dancong. I like the smell when brewing but something in the flavor balance that is not quite there for me.
Our electric tea kettle has died after just a few weeks - sprung a leak. This is our third kettle THIS YEAR. Manufacturing is basically crap now, I know, but I really, really need my tea. I gotta solve this. I'm thinking a stovetop kettle? But we have an induction stove.
Any #tea lovers have a favorite teapot/kettle that works on an induction stove?
Bitter brew. The stuff on top is actually beeswax, I scooped some raw honey with wax bits in there for sweetener. I apparently should have diluted this! Then sweetened. #horehound#tea
Are you a tea fan? Have you tried pu-erh? It comes loose or in compressed cakes of various sizes.
I've been noticing over the years that I enjoy it on the second infusion even more than the first. It brews up nice and dark on the second pass too, with a rich earthy flavour that just borders on mocha.
Got this this 2015 Hojo Ma An Shan from liquidproust a few years back. Hojo is a Japanese tea company that sources teas from various places, including Yunnan, China. The Ma An Shan is an unusual raw Puerh, almost tastes like an oolong, fruity and very sweet, but with a raw Puerh backbone. One of those, "a tea that seems a little different every time I try it and I wish I had more than this one sample," kind of things...
Here's an idea for all you tea drinkers. When we ordered a pot of tea in the café, they brought this three part tea timer. The different coloured sand timers are marked "weak", "medium", and "strong". When your colour of sand runs out it is time to remove the tea bag.😃
