I got the huge ‘puter working (2011 17” MacBook Pro).
Really slow under Sonoma lol
I found a macOS install CD in it, so I’m using it for the size reference
This thing is so funny
Break with wildflowers, here are some baby goats for your timeline. These are 1 week old and seen at Redwood Hill Farms in Sebastopol. If you like goats you should take their tour. #farms#Sonoma
It is only SEVEN years after we had reported this glaring and obvious bug in the ExFAT driver of macOS, and yes, it is still here today in #macOS 14.4.1 #sonoma
No, #Apple, that drive has NOT been created or updated in January 1970.
How I wish Apple would actually start fixing their bugs for once.
And yes, the ExFAT driver in macOS has a LOT more bugs.
Wow, it is #macOS 14.4.1 already, and we are still getting these stupid untitled and misleading "notifications" from the badly designed and completely undocumented "security" features in macOS when adding a launch item.
Oh #Apple.
We had reported this dangerous and stupid bug two years ago already, but of course Apple has ignored it, like thousands of other bugs.
So, it turns out that in #macOS 14 #Sonoma, if you have a NSPopUpButton, and use removeFromSuperview and then later addSubview to add that item again to a view, macOS doesn't draw the button properly, until it gets clicked at least once.
(setting up said Popup is very expensive, as in "slow", in the app in question, so for 15 years, it was a working idea to keep it around)
Awesome.
Yet another #bug in the long long list of massive problems in the #AppKit system frameworks in #macOS14.
Folks, if you have to go to Petaluma from Fairfield (or Napa) Take SR-12 to SR-116 and be treated to heaven on earth vistas thru wine country pretty much the entire ride. The green won’t last too much longer. Highly recommend! #SFBA#Napa#Sonoma
Frybread pop-up is in effect now until they sell out at Cloverdale Nursery! Indian tacos ($12) and plain frybread ($6) is available. These fine folks drove down from Lake County to do this event so come by!! And then shop at the nursery.
Ok, le haut parleur du Mac mini M1 est bloqué au maximum et le changement de volume (y compris couper le son) n'a aucun effet dessus. Ca va être sympa si un reboot ne résout pas le problème... #Apple#bug#Sonoma#MacMiniM1
Since Big Sur, Messages.app is a #Catalyst application, isn't it? -- If you happen to have one that you have control over, could you test whether that's maybe an issue with yours, too?
Sometimes, this language selection thingie appears on #macOS (even during games of StarCraft II) and I can't reliably get rid of it with keyboard shortcuts. Escape, backspace, it doesn't always help.
It now appeared while I was away from my desk for 5min but the text field was selected.
macOS Sarcoma's Screen Sharing has decided that when I connect to my main computer that has two screens, the second screen will be black. In addition, the cursor won't move, and I have to fight to get the insertion point into the password box on the login screen. So yeah, about par for Sarcoma—Apple's flakiest OS in ages.
I can’t help thinking that #macOS#Sonoma 14.4 update message showing new Emojis above software improvements and pushing security fixes behind a web link is the sign that something is no longer right at #Apple…
Sift, which was founded in Sonoma County, is closing its doors on March 23. It has locations in Santa Rosa, Napa and San Francisco. Owners cite weather, pandemic and economy as reasons.
🌧 SONOMA & NAPA COUNTIES - If you live in Santa Rosa, Windsor, Graton, Calistoga, Santa Rosa, Bloomfield.....you can expect heavy rain, hail, thunder/lightning now until 10 p.m.
NWS Bay Area is issuing warnings faster than I can keep up...so... please be safe.
Experiencing a #MacOS#Sonoma 14.3 #bug. I installed the OS last week and now my Mac never automatically goes to sleep anymore. I have to press the sleep button or use the menu.
Anybody else here? Or did you figure it out? Searching seems to indicate it is an unresolved bug, for those who experience it.
