What's not going on in the minds of people who say "A great number of homeless people have mental illness issues" to suggest mental issues are the reasons why people are homeless (on average)
It's more plausible that, for example, someone lost their Job, couldn't pay the rent, got evicted, & was forced to live on the streets ("homeless"), and that harsh environment caused that person to develop #MentalHealth issues
This is amazing! Some #spoiled#rich kid goes to a #jewelry store to buy a $7.7 million #watch, but his card was #declined. He angrily demands that they run it again, but it's still declined. So, he calls his #father, who quickly hangs up on him. The #jeweler then calls #security to have the brat removed from his office. 🤣🤑⌚🚫🤦♂️
Like other interviews I’ve done with members of the political class, this one again shows their #psychotic inability to see that the real world trumps the political world. The contemporary #British Establishment is a cult that believes in two extreme worldviews:

Tom Nichols gets it 90% right in his latest @TheAtlantic post: If democracy dies in the next several years, he says, blame Trump, his democracy-loathing cabal, the Republicans in general, and feckless voters who miss what's at stake.
But while he mentions the press, he doesn't assign nearly enough responsibility to its cowardice and willful refusal to a) recognize what's at stake and b) actively fight to save our system.
I have spent some of today learning about the 2011 #Norwegian "butter panic".
#Butter saw a serious #shortage in late 2011 after too much rain & mismanagement. #Christmas was near & prices soared to €39/NOK 300 for 250g.
#Swedish supermarkets gave butter handouts to Norwegian customers & the #Danes had a TV special to help their neighbours, resulting in 4000 buttery gifts.
It's actually an interesting study in #monopolies & the problems of #rich countries.
Its worth remembering that not the #rich are not all the same.
Katharina Hecht (LSE) notes that in' interviews with people with income in the top 1 & top 0.1% in the UK, I found that approximately a third of participants suggested that #inequality should be lower & many were supportive of the idea of higher #taxation for people like themselves in order to provide opportunities for others. In particular, the #NHS & the #education system were highlighted as in need of public funding'!
