#electronicmusic can often seem very sexless; there should be more driven by strange & confusing #psychosexual urges, more blood and bodily fluids, more earth & natural wonder, more overwhelming feelings of #psychedelic oblivion & the sublime, more decadence - and I don’t just mean some beats with a women’s orgasmic sighs over the top (there should be LESS of that…) #love#sex#music#art
today i want to show off Enigmatic Worlds, something I've been getting a lot of progress done with lately!
It's an FPS game inspired by obscure 90s FPS games, Amiga games, as well as many old Game Maker FPS games that led to the discovery of Doom in the first place!
Which sounds exactly like some other song but I can't think of it for the life of me.
I'm pretty sure it's a song by Brian Jonestown Massacre or Dandy Warhols or something in that #NeoPsychedelic#Rock genre.
Of course, BJM cranks out so much music that it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Perhaps someone with a better mental catalog of music can help.
Imagine living in a room where everything in it is invisible but you can throw a visible net that reveals the contours of objects. I learned from psychedelics that physical, cultural limitations prevent us from directly experiencing most of the universe we live in, but language is like that net. It is a powerful tool for apprehending a reality we can only glimpse . Culture, habit mesmerize us into mistaking the net for the reality it only partially describes. #psychedelic#language#reality
Have a listen to "The Stars Are Ours," one of the most chill and atmospheric tracks I've ever released (I think you'll like it even if you find my usual work a bit much). I always thought it would make a good theme for a PBS doc about space exploration, or maybe an indie sci-fi drama. Let me know what you think?
Second Bandcamp playlist from night 2 of the streaming event. This one is 100% for people on psychedelics. Shoutout to the Prairiewolf homies, that track kills. And check out @spacefuzz - two tracks here, from one of the year's best albums imo - you should 100% buy that shit
