Notable guitarist Randy Resnick (not even going to try to summarize his musical history, but a quick search will reveal a considerable pedigree) offers up exactly what it says on the tin: an eclectic and quirky mix of short tunes, both instrumentals and songs, in a variety of genres. #Jazz, #blues, #rock and #funk are all name-checked and that covers most of it, but there’s lot of subtlety, and incredible quality, here.
I came up with this funky part Tuesday evening. It’s really fun to solo over when looped. Could be a basis for a full composition, I think. #music#guitar#funk
You have the classic start of late RnB / early Funk: "Have you ever heard of: <X>, fake audience: yeaaaaaaah"
Then it drops into sorta a standard afro-#funk for awhile (till ~2min), after which they just abandon the song structure entirely in favor of an extended psych meltdown (complete with dubious mixing!)
It's... kinda great? And kinda jank?
