“There are no facts pled which demonstrate that Ms. Cox is at any more of a risk, let alone life-threatening, than the countless women who give birth every day with similar medical histories,” the state wrote.

The state’s obscene statement/actions confirm what we know -they know every pregnancy is a risk to the mother’s life, and it’s not only an accepted cost, but part of the strategy. The cruelty is the point. Dead women, and scared women, feed their goal.

fsinn,

This is a prime example of Republicans forcing the government between a person and their doctor. Every conservative should be appalled and reject this by voting for the Democratic candidate in every contest.

Republicans voting against a cap on insulin, or interfering with gender affirming care, are the same issue. attempting to exert state control your most private of decisions - healthcare. It’s obscene and so dangerous.

The Privacy Commissioner of Canada finds that Canada Post violated the Privacy Act after collecting data from its postal operations, they used it to create marketing mailing lists & then selling that data to third parties without consent.

The Commissioner's report shows that Canada Post collected data on people's names, postal addresses & what kind of online shopping they do.

In theory, the new privacy #laws in the USA are a good thing. Companies are finally being held accountable.

In practice... at least, in my experience testing the processes in the #privacylaw frameworks... the biggest offenders just ignore the law because they know that they're not likely to suffer more than a flea bite even if they're caught violating the law.

Until we start assessing painful penalties for non-compliance, they'll continue to ignore the law. Percent of revenue seems to be a good plan. But, ideas welcome.

Abortion is a #privacy #law issue.

Abortion restrictions are Republicans putting the state between an individual and their doctor, and placing decision making on an individual’s healthcare and medical decisions in the hands of the state.

This is obscene and dangerous.

Abortion rights are human rights.

Forced birth is state directed abuse and torture.

If you live in the and are interested in - then you might want to add your signature to my petition to block the Online Safety Bill. This bill threatens basic encryption and would give the government access to everybody's personal communications.
