Made an appt. for vaccine today. But then housemate and friend went for theirs in last 48 hours and were told, "We don't have the new vaccine, don't know when it's coming." Uh, nooo!
So this morning, in a panic, magically got one at Walgreens for Jupes, on Monday for rest of us. I TELLS YA.
When scheduling vaccines, BE AWARE - if you schedule a GROUP, it may tell you there are no appts. when if you did it individually, there are lots (even at the same time on the same day - so their system is wonky).
This happened with both Walgreens and CVS. We tried to get four people in at once, site says "no openings" for weeks. Went to 2 people: same thing. Went to 1 person: scheduled everyone for same day within 90 minutes of each other!

I'm currently looking for new work. I have a little over a decade's experience with various forms of SQL, and almost that much with Python, Tableau and other technology. I am very experienced with stakeholder management, requirements gathering, communication and the other things that we all know actually matter more than the coding part.
My last job title was analytics engineer, but I've been called a data engineer, analyst, DVA, etc. Different companies define the borders between those disciplines differently anyway. I have worked as a visualisation trainer and a SQL trainer, and I've done major database migration work.
I live in London, UK; I'm happy to take remote work elsewhere as long as it doesn't suddenly pivot to three days a week in the office in some far-off place or something.
I would prefer not to do unethical shit but there's no such thing as ethical work under capitalism, so we all do our best. My SME experience is predominantly in the logistics industry, and there are no saints there.
I don't do blockchain. I DO do fixing your shit after some idiot bought an overhyped product and wrecked everything with it. I absolutely do helping to break down silos and train new people. I guarantee that I will attempt to unionise your workplace. (I might fail at that.)
It is just THIRTY DAYS until my brother comes home! I'm planning to keep the Patreon going for a bit, because surely it will take him a little while to get settled and find a job, right?

I'm migrating my blog to the newest version of the theme I use, and I have some.. extensive (well, rather low-level) customizations to it.
Anyone feel like helping my look for anything that seems broken or incorrect? Desktop, mobile, anything that's a #accessibilty#a11y issue? enough has changed that I can't just go and diff all the files and pick through changes, I think I've got most of it re-implemented
As Zoom no longer believe in the need for their product ( demanding remote workers return to the office ) maybe remote workers should use an alternative. Are there better alternatives? #ZoomAlternatives#PleaseBoost

It’s a shame as I was enjoying the work, and working with my team.
The realities of startups, if sales aren’t good enough to be attractive to investors or isn’t large enough to sustain the burn-rate, then cutting costs is needed.
I’m looking for anything in #Product land from #ProductManagement or Product Operations, Agile coach to being a Generalist Specialist Digital Product Technologist (my shorthand 😉 for cat herder).

I need #IT help again (broadly speaking).
Anyone using #YTDLP yt-dlp to download videos with two language versions via --audio-multistream?
I'm currently searching for the correct audio via -F and then manually add those to the command. Isn't there some easier way, where I simply tell yt-dlp to download the first (for instance) 'German' and the first 'English' track?
Which of the following musical artists has the greatest "albums per year" ratio? By that, I mean, the number of full length studio albums (excluding live albums, collabs, or compilations) recorded over the number of years they have been or were actively a recording artist or band.
Vote now!
The ratios will be posted tomorrow after the poll is closed.
Thank you to everyone who voted in my silly poll. Here are the album per year ratios for each of the artists:
The Beatles - 1.2
Dolly Parton - 0.7
Snoop Dogg - 0.6
Weezer - 0.5
Bruce Springsteen - 0.4
