Wow! Almost 300 people have entered the Goodreads giveaway for the Kindle edition of "The Spiral and The Threads." Clearly, folks are already excited but for those who missed it, here's the link:
I'm gonna make a list of accounts belonging to witches, pagans, occultists, astrologers, and related fields to make it easier for us to find each other.
Please comment below if you want to be included!
It'll be opt-in only; you'll only be added if you ask to be.
Sometimes we want to hear that is more than beauty.
From: My Girlfriend Almost Got Me Killed, So We Had Wild Sex (Serialized Novel)
From Chapter 18: Butterfly Wings
“You’re my butterfly, a black butterfly with lavender-tipped wings.” I touched the ends of her hair. “I know it’s about how you look, but…”
This time, she stopped me by putting a finger on my lips. “I understand. You think I am beautiful. I’m glad you like how I look, as long as that isn’t all.”
I'm thinking about migrating to a different Calckey instance: Are there any Calckey instances out there with good moderation policies and themes relating to #Witchcraft#Paganism#Occultism#Folklore#Philosophy#Paranormal or other similar topics? Thank you!
Being agnostic as my baseline creates such funny internal conflicts.
I'm extremely skeptical. If I'm going to believe something, it had better be the truth. Despite having paranormal experiences where I've seen, heard, and touched ghosts... I'm still not convinced I experienced what I did. Our minds are surprisingly unreliable.
Anyways, the musical project I'm working on is kinda witch themed so I was doing some research for flavour and lyrical inspirations.
So, I'm listening to this witch talk about what it means to be a witch, and about casting spells, and then makes the claim that anyone can astral project... and my ears perk up.
Why? Because I'm intrigued by all this, and something like astral projection is something that can be scientifically observed.
So, on the one hand... I'm calling everything the witch is saying (in my head) bullshit that's all psychological, but on the other, part of me wants to genuinely try it.
Not because I want to debunk it, but because if it works, then I get to re-evaluate my entire view on the world, and that sounds exciting... and if it doesn't, then I carry on as I am now, wondering if it's still possible and it was just a personal failing that prevented me from doing it... but it's most likely just "in your head" crap.
It's like... I want to believe, but will not allow myself to just accept something on faith again. Religion did a number on me there. But... I think that was a good lesson learned.
So... I think I'm going to study a bit more about witchiness. Do it right. Don't half ass it. Like... walk the walk for a period of time before even trying my experiment, and then see if my success rate proves to be statistically significant.
I know these kinds of experiments have likely been done to death by others, but I kind of just want to verify things myself. The journey of discovery itself is exciting.
Worst case scenario? I learn how to trick my brain into doing some freaky shit to itself. Sounds like fun.

Hi. This is my personal account. As you can see, I have a lot of interests 😀
I have a movie Mastodon too (link on my profile). I just wanted somewhere else to talk about all my other passions 😋
The #Kindle edition of "Shards" is now available for #free on Amazon's various international storefronts. This will be the case until October 4th, so get while the getting's good.

From Chapter 4: Glass Heart
There was something behind me; I could feel it, and I could smell the cloying odor of roses. My back grew cold, and my hands turned numb, but I got the door unlocked, and it burst open. Kao-san stood there like a goddess come to earth. In one hand she thrust forward a cross and with the other shoved a Shinto charm into my hand. She stepped past me, saying, “Meiko-san, you can’t have her; she’s mine. Om Vajrapani Hayagriva Garuda Hum Phat.”
Browsing a large collection of dissertations about #paranormal topics. So much good stuff. It’s a shame these inquiries haven’t reached the masses. Some are so useful.
Nothing really to say about me as a person, I have crippling #anxiety & so no life/accomplishments to speak of. Here are some of my interests, I'm an expert on none.
The books I’m sharing are free as of today in Canada and usually the United States of America, too. If you do not live in those countries or are reading this after July 27, 2023, I do not know if they are free or available for you.
Please tag me if you want a boost for your lists of free speculative fiction books from other parts of the world. 💜
I'm interested in the #paranormal, and believe people experience it, but I tend towards the sceptical. I'm a #Roman#pagan but I don't really practise. I don't like religious extremism or denial of facts and science.
No good deed goes unpunished. As Ume discovers when she rescues Shiomi. Neither Shiomi nor the jealous, vengeful ghost that stalks her appreciates the act. Something they both make clear. As for Ume’s partner, Tomo, he is less than thrilled at the intrusion of an unpleasant third into their relationship. “I know I told you to find someone who would appreciate your advances, but I really question your taste.”
Come, follow Ume-san, Shiomi-san, and the increasingly exasperated Tomo as the three explore their attraction for each other in a world where creepy things wait and watch from the shadows.
What is the eeriest, creepiest, most unexplainable thing you’ve experienced?
These were always the best AskReddit questions, fake or not, so let’s hear ‘em.
