What's a good search engine for stories? Some of the newer ones just don't pick up news sites or can't limit by date.

I logged in to Facebook a day or two ago to pin a post that basically said: "I'm still around, just not here. My email is ______ and here's a link to my blog. Stay in touch if you're so inclined."

I've had contact with a few folks. I really despise how FB has become so entrenched in my friends lives. I'd love for them all to leave it, but they're too invested.

What is it I was taught?
"Vote with your feet."
I stopped posting about why people should leave a while back. I gave up preaching about secure communication and open source alternatives. Part of me feels like I abandoned them, but a big part of me also realizes that I gave them a means to contact me. I'll reach out to my closest peeps, anybody else...ball is in their court.

I'm just done supporting shitty companies. I'm a stubborn son-of-a-bitch when it comes to my principles, but it can make for a lonely existence at times.

@TheLastOfHisName I know this feeling. I visit FB and feel no connection to my remaining friends and what they think is important. It’s like they are in a time warp and I’ve left them behind. Same with Xitter. How could people be so oblivious? I just can’t.

Thinking about website views vs views on visual social media like YouTube, Insta and TikTok. It’s a hard and scary fact that people aren’t reading news but getting it via visuals. This is bad. At least in the short term, it will make us significantly less informed or more misinformed.

A guy from Minneapolis, who was allegedly traveling in Tasmania in April, supposedly caught several pictures of a on the side of the road. He contacted Forrest Galante who interviewed him and revealed the photos. I'd bet he really saw a dog as they thought, but the story and images are embellished. https://youtu.be/bfSzlgRZ-Xg

This just doesn't look legit. The color is wrong, the two pics with the open mouth look wrong. We need more than questionable photos to make a determination that there are existing thylacines.

Conclusion: It's absolutely NOT photos of a live . These look too close to models and other photos. They are not even consistent with each other. Galante was hoaxed.
