Year 2024. #LeapDay still causes issues to #Azure.
Noticed that #paloalto data sent to #Sentinel via #AMA during 29th was logged with TimeReceived as 1st of March. Issue doesn’t happen if you use old #MMA / #OMS agent.
Crazy wind and rain in #PaloAlto took down my HF #hamradio antenna. Power is out too, with lots of very localized flooding (mostly clogged storm drain intakes)
Palo Alto, where I live, passed an additional subsidy program on top of the Inflation Reduction Act to make it more attractive to replace an end-of-life hot water heater with a heat pump one. So far, it's not getting nearly so many signups as we'd want.
“Memories from Palo Alto”
Earlier in my career, I worked at Hewlett-Packard (HP) for almost 15 years. Acting in world-wide roles, I traveled from Germany to the U.S. almost 30 times - mostly to Palo Alto, where the global HQ was located prior to the 2015 split into HP Inc. and HP Enterprise. A small photo set.
Glad to see #SantaClaraCounty#sfba starting to use the Affordable Housing Bond (Measure A) to actively create high-density, affordable housing in job-rich areas near where I live. Several housing projects were recently approved in #PaloAlto and #MountainView, which include units specifically designated for formerly unhoused people.
This is how you properly address #homelessness: by giving people homes to live in. I’m glad my tax dollars are helping to do that.
“Measure A funding brings more affordable housing to North County”
Exciting competition for billboard space on southbound Highway 101 from #SanFrancisco to #PaloAlto today. Final tally: Shen Yun: 3, JewBelong: 4, and the winner: companies mentioning #AI with 5!
The vigil is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. in King Plaza, at 250 Hamilton Ave., where community members will mourn those who have died in the conflict between #Israel#Hamas & stand with those who are facing hatred. The organization has previously hosted similar community building events on the anniversary of 9/11.

One of the things about municipal utilities is that you can make an entirely political decision to shut them down. In this case, there's an effort to get Palo Alto to establish a managed shutdown of its gas utility.
Two members of my household now have COVID-19. It's worth mentioning that in both cases, it took until the afternoon of the 3rd day of symptoms before tests started showing positive. We've used a mix of antigen tests and the fancy Cue tests provided by a former employer.
