2 roast beef and pepper jack cheese on fresh baked Italian bread from the deli,with mustard,
and two turkey and Swiss cheese on fajita bread
with romaine lettuce, tomatoes,,salami mustard
and vegan mayonnaise,two bottles of water with
some cherry punch flavoring.
I just did one of those "throw the veg that are about to go off into a pan, add some random bits and see what happens" and it turned out deeeeelish.

A bit more #Indian#cooking on a slightly cooler weekend day - also to prep ahead for the week, makes for a mighty fine #lunch of simple (basmati) pulao with peas and shahi jeera (black/mountain cumin), chola daal, sauteed cabbage (w blk mustard seeds and curry leaves), lamb with spinach, and grated carrot raita
There are many large and #serious#problems in the world. Many people are victimized by the #system in a thousand different ways. This is not their story; it is not about their problems, but this should not be seen as minimizing them.
I'd like to talk about something a little closer to home: #employee#abuse in the #tech field. I've been in this field for <mumble> years and worked for tiny companies, medium consulting companies, large orgs, and as a one-man independent contractor.
Before I go further, there's one big exception to what I'm describing; I'll mention that at the end, so hold your rotten tomatoes.
What's wrong with brown-bag lunch-and-learns?
Well, it's the #obvious thing. Most companies ask their employees to attend these on their #lunch hour, or on other #personal time.
That would be fine, except many - perhaps most - of these sessions are actually for giving employees #information to use in the #performance of their #job#duties.
Be me - forget your lunch at home and just around when you'd take your normal lunch break, it downpours so aggressively that you are not feeling like leaving the office.
Had a patio lunch at #CoffeeCupCafe in #Clyde#NC today. Not a bad chick salad on sourdough, but the standout was the #WaynesvilleSodaJerk sodas. It's been a couple of years, and they're always a treat. This was my fav, the Lemon/Lavender.
Sun stayed away, wind was nice, no rain. Perfect. I mean, except for the freeway ramp right there.

I bought some rocket baby burger buns and some pasture-raised beef patties to make some burgers today. Now I just need to figure out the easiest way of thawing these patties?
Grounding, centering mostly #Kerala style #Lunch at home today - all partner's cooking. Leftover Kaalan and sauteed vegetables - and then some terrific Red #Fish#Curry (with branzino) Cooked yesterday so the flavors have seeped and 'pickled' especially the sour of the kodampuli (dried garcinia gummi-gata). Had the curry with last bit of some kaachi-moar (cooked/scalded turmeric and spiced yogurt) #Food Cooking #Indian
