Sustainability tip: instead of using and reusing plastic utensils, just go to your local thrift store and buy real forks, spoons, knives (they're usually 50 cents or at most a dollar each), and wash them. They're affordable enough you don't have to worry about losing them, no plastic leaching, and they don't break when you try to use them! #sustainability#forks#spoons#cutlery#lunch
I posted a version of this a few weeks back but it’s so good - and this photo is better - that the food love needs sharing again.
Harissa roasted carrots on a bed of rocket pesto and squash & chickpea hummus (both homemade), with a serene scattering of seeds, and a slice of sourdough side.
It seems like popular #lunch spot around #McGill all lurk in the most unnoticeable corners... (Low rent ≈ cheap prices?) Anyways, visited that Korean place, shared a table with two tourists to the city, chatted, admired each other's #food... and of course we all enjoyed our own meals!
Grilled barilyete (type of tuna) in garlic and butter. Mussels broth with garlic, ginger, and malunggay leaves, and leftover fried daing (marinated milk fish in vinegar and garlic).
The problem with drawing the little gremlin eating enchiladas, today I had to prepare some for lunch. Well, they’re actually enfrijoladas, same thing but instead of green salsa they’re covered in spicy bean salsa 😋
Despite the awful start, I made it to work and was even a little early!
Chinese for lunch!
Hyundai corporate was not at all pleased at how we were blown off by the dealership about getting a loaner or rental while they have our car for 4-5 months. Mom was told they would get an answer for us ASAP, so we might have a car by next week!
The Outpost in Pond Eddy, NY - we stopped for lunch, fabulous food and service. A warm October day under a blue sky. The vibrant red umbrellas caught my eye. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
