I am air frying some garlic dill salmon and making basmati rice in the rice cooker, then I should be just about ready to start my #twitch and #tiktok stream. I'll work on reinstalling Qubes OS on this weekends stream as this week was crazy
Those two months of taking a break from content creation on tiktok and Twitch kind of hurt my savings for my projects as I have a separate bank account for all this.
I would really appreciate new Twitch and Tiktok subscribers and I have some items for review that I purchased that I will give honest reviews to, but also tips/donations are always appreciated
I love how people tried telling me that Twitter was better and I was wasting my time months ago with Mastodon and the Fediverse. Because more people are on X then wonder how I learn about all the latest cool #opensource and #infosec, my response is usually #Mastodon.
I mean I even found out about MNT and their Pocket Reform being released from stumbling across a post last summer from @mntmn in my federated feed. I don't think I would have ever heard of it before the release date on Twitter/X.
Ticketmaster hacked. Breach affects more than half a billion users.
Emails, phone numbers, addresses, and even financial details have allegedly been exposed by a notorious hacker group. And they are offering the data for half a million bucks.
@404mediaco exposed Ticketmaster yesterday for its monopoly power in the concert industry, so its 500 million customers are now being revictimized by the hackers.
This situation with RoboForm is why we can't have nice things. People need to not only possess, but trust password managers until such time we finally move on to superior identity verification.
It's terrible to have a flaw that requires a re-encrypt event, but it is tragic and unnecessary to cover it up and not take your lumps and prompt a corrective action.
This undermines trust in the concept, not just the product.
On/around 27th May 2024, the traffic from Azerbaijan to www.bbc.com & www.bbc.co.uk reduced by over 80%.
Looking at our data, I can see that the vast majority of traffic in Azerbaijan comes from AS29049 (Delta Telecom) which is their majority ISP according to Wikipedia.
OONI says tests were passing as recently as 28th May from AS29049 but there's definitely something going on...Unsure exactly what.
(the gap in AS29049 is a GeoIP data migration) #Azerbaijan#Censorship#InfoSec
Any recommendations for moving away from #gmail? Preferably somewhere that isn’t gonna implement #AI for #email? Can’t use my ISP’s email cos we want to change away as soon as OpenReach do their thing
So I may be moving my streaming PC to full time Linux. I have to do some testing but I would need to raise some money for a Magewell capture card as they do in fact have Linux support to maintain the style of my streams.
The OBSbot camera I use also supports Linux. So I’m going to try some small tests on Linux this summer but if it’s successful and we can raise a few hundred dollars, I’ll be ok with a completely Linux 2 PC stream setup.
