good evening! do you use software of any description? ? ?

have you found the manuals annoying and hard to find things in, or telling you to go f-- err i mean read the info page?

consider using the single page builds of such reference manuals on https://docs.jade.fyi

they have nice CSS and no page splitting so you can simply hit ctrl f

Happy birthday to GNU! 🎂 The GNU Project turns 40 today and has been a champion of free and open source software in all that time.

We extend a big thank you to the GNU Project for laying the groundwork for the movement, the value of which becomes more apparent with each year. Thank you!

We need #openhardware with #bluetooth so we can link them it to #MyGNUHealth.
Currently we have @pine64eu smartwatch, but we'd love to integrate scales, glucometers, blood pressure monitors...
Just reply to this toot or send us a message if you know of any device. We'd love to test them!🤗

This month 15 years have passed since I've received my Openmoko Neo FreeRunner, which started my personal adventure with mobile GNU/Linux 😊

I remember wondering back in 2008 whether I should invest myself and my money in Openmoko or Android as both were at their infancy and looking interesting. In hindsight, even though Openmoko does not exist anymore, I'm convinced that I've made the right choice!

I recently worked with SWWS (https://softwareworkers.it/) developing a minimalist CSS theme for their websites.

I think this is the first time I get to work a paid job using libre tools (GNU Guix and its packages) and be able to release the resulting work as a libre cultural work. It feels great 🙂

Check the theme in action:

https://luis-felipe.gitlab.io/themes/swws/

It styles basic HTML elements and Org components.

Just a friendly reminder:

find .

… lists filesystem entries recursively in $PWD.

find . -name "*.sql"

… lists filesystem entries with suffix .sql recursively in $PWD.

find . -type f -name "*.sql"

… lists filepaths with suffix .sql recursively in $PWD.

find . -delete -type f -name "*.sql"

Deletes all files in $PWD. "-delete" needs to go to the end to filter for .sql files. Happened to me at work 🥲
