Here's the thing about today's #Fascism Watch: Driving Queer Youth to Suicide edition.
There's always been a faction of the right trying to do this.
Years ago I read an article wherein a lesbian who went to Catholic school talked about a nun pulling her aside, telling her that she was condemned to hell, and there was no redemption for her, but if she had any good in herself, she would commit suicide and so as not to take anyone else with her.
Sounds ludicrous, right?
Except it was being discussed in a political forum, and another woman - also a lesbian - said that basically the same thing happened to her too.
They know what they're doing. It's what they want.
Yes, I think #Biden did a great job in his first term. I appreciate and acknowledge his accomplishments. AND I am not happy he is running for a second term. I won’t pretend I am. The #DNC failed. The biggest problem with this strategy is Dems completely alienate a large chunk of their base. If we have to choose between #Fascism or teetering on the edge of dementia, most people will probably take their chances with dementia. But a whole lot of us will never forget that this was forced on us.
Republicans attack on democracy includes everything on this list plus racism, misogyny and anything they can conjure up to divide the US for their benefactors, the plutocracy.
In all appearances, Republicans are the water boys setting up Fascism for their benefactors, the oligarchs and corporations.

It’s a shame that Republicans blocked the Equal Rights Amendment from becoming law today.
They can twist it however they wish, but it’s fact: Republicans voted against explicitly including women’s equality in our Constitution.

The Los Angeles Times drops bombshell on twitter troll and fascist elon musk, reveals that a brand new study just found that he is lying about hate speech going down on Twitter since he took over — finding that it has actually DOUBLED since he took over.
This puts toxic twitter users at risk of helping extremists become “radicalized online by what has been termed stochastic terrorism, in which hate speech is used to incite violent acts.”
