Short interactive narrative exploring the author's depression. You don't do much other than aimlessly wander a town and muse, but that is the point after all. Wild art and perspective. A neat insight.
Second day with vortioxetine. Psychiatrist prescribed it to me two days ago, 10 mg per day. No side effects so far. But I don't know what I should feel. Diagnosed with #Depression some weeks ago, besides #ADHD and #ASD more than one year ago.
How hard is it to stop taking #antidepressants? Amid often emotional discussion, existing studies are unclear. A meta-analysis from #CharitéBerlin & @UniKoeln now gives the most thorough answer to date as to how common discontinuation symptoms really are.
#PennedPossibilities 31 Has your MC ever desired a better understanding of themselves?
When we land in the series in book one, Freya has nearly forgotten who she is. She is deep down in a numbing dark void and can not see the colour of the world anymore. She knows she's in there somewhere, in that blank, expressionless face in the mirror. At that point, she's tired of this dark murky limbo and pleads to the self she once had to get her out of it.
I hate to ask again, but I don't know what else to do. I have treatment resistant #depression with psychotic features and PTSD. And it's gotten to the point where I cannot function. The voices are telling me to kill myself, which I won't do. I need #cannabis. It's the only thing that does give me a high degree of function and sucessfully treats the depression. #mutualaid requested, I need $25 to go get some. I don't like asking for gifts this way. I'm without few options. wfisher@praetor.tel
The spotlight effect is the psychological phenomenon by which people tend to believe they are being noticed more than they really are. Being that one is constantly in the center of one’s own world, an accurate evaluation of how much one is noticed by others is uncommon…
@alexandra I have a big family—lots of siblings—so I don't think that was a factor. But I've always felt uncomfortable using social media and I'm sure it has contributed to the problem.
@dhester Ah, that would make sense too. I find I used social media sparingly, and didn't really embrace it (if that) till I discovered Mastodon, and the community here.
I am doing a survey about yoga and neurodivergent folk and your boosts would be appreciated.
If you are neurodivergent (self-realized or Dx'd, it's all good here), and fall under the vast ND umbrella, I'd love to hear from you. Quick 6-7 question survey and you can remain anon if you want.
@icg937 unfortunately, it’s kinda common comorbidity with AuDHD. That said, not every psychologist can tell RSD and some specific ADHD/ASD issues (like executive disfunction) from depression. Some seem to have quite an outdated understanding of both. Though, if yours accepts that you have both ASD and ADHD at the same time and doesn’t behave as if they are mutually exclusive - that’s already better than most.
@olena This is the second time I go to that psychologist. Since my diagnosis in 2023 by a psyciatrist to last month I didn't go to any therapist. But both of them think ADHD and ASD can coexist.
Dan Thomas will represent plaintiffs who allege their mental-health conditions worsened during their #MilitaryService as a result of stigmatization.
Thomas’s statement of claim says he was physically #injured during his #army service & then diagnosed with #PTSD & #depression.
