Today at the allotment I met a new mum and she brought her beautiful child with her. When I got home I read of the floods in Italy and watched the last moments of life of three young people swept away. I'm filled with horror and rage and I don't know how to articulate to family and friends how bad the situation is and how that little child I met will maybe suffer in the not too distant future. #ClimateDiary

A ban on having exotic animals as pet would actually be the best to honour these 'magnificent' animals.
I don't think the owner was necessarily bad. However, if you are a pet owner, of any animal, not just exotic ones, the least you can do if you go away for holidays is having someone coming to check for your pets.

#climatediary The weather here has been amazing. Like cool daytime temps, lots of rain, low quantity of mosquitos, the water table is being replenished and I can't remember a late spring/ early summer like it ever. It's absolutely amazing but I can't help but wonder why and if when this ends something worse will arrive.
