I had to mute over 200 posts in the last 30 minutes or so. Cleaning up the feeds so you can get to a few good posts will take lots of effort because there's no algorithm
You'll notice many posts come from sources like dlvr ... review them and use filter/block
Can one import and use a follow list from one account to another regardless if an account is formally "moved" or not?
I started with an account on mstdn.ca... is it possible to "reactivate” that account after the transfer/move so that it no longer redirects to the 'new' account?
So it's finally happened. I'm tired of ☠️-ing Adobe software. With its shift to AI and other dubious practices I'm finally switching to #FOSS alternatives.
For photoshop I'm using #Krita; Illustrator, #Inkscape, tho now I'm looking for an indesign alternative. So far #Scribus seems the most popular. And I might have to get a free trial of indesign to export my existing books into XML format 🙃

Or maybe there is more elegant solution apart from persuading all server’s users to use certain hashtags?
I have been waiting for @frameworkcomputer to ship to my country with my language keyboard layout for ages, today I bumped into @novacustom and at glance they seem quite nice and also European based, does anyone has first hand experiences with these laptops?

I know you don't know what systems I use, so this is a bit of a meaningless question. But do you know of any popular systems that a lot of people use that now support passkeys?
Preferably ones that can be stored and used by 1Password 8. Maybe I should do 1Password first if they support passkeys.
So my right joycon of my Switch is causing me issues that I've never run into before.
Been playing SSBU as my mindless pick up and play game forever. Oddly enough, when I launch the game now, my right joycon doesn't wanna work so long as it's plugged into the Switch. But if it's in wireless mode it works fine.
Also seems to work fine when connected to the unit when in the Switchs regular dashboard menus, but the moment I launch Smash Bros, the right controller just...Stops.

It looks like Mastodon Groups are in the works. I wonder what that would look like. Would it cover services on ActivityPub other than Mastodon? Does any microblogging platform out there already offer a similar feature?

I swear back in like ‘00-‘01, you could browse Yahoo for random people to chat with? Like they would put what they wanted to chat about (e.g. “The Beatles”), and you could choose to message them. I met a lot of fellow fans that way. Anyone else remember this??

There are a few ways that I can mirror my iPhone screen to my MacBook but is there any way that I can just have my iPhone open as an app on my desktop and just control it from there?
I just want to get into work, plug my phone into the computer, and not think about it - and then can reply to messages and access all the apps I need to via the desktop.
