Heard good things about #Metatext but I also heard it's no longer maintained?
So I tried #Ivory@ivory but I have to sign up for a subscription just to find out what benefits a subscription gives (aside from the ability to post). Nope, sorry.
App must: have no ads, obviously, and absolutely must handle posting & reading threads in a sane and sensible way (unlike the web)

So now that #mastodon has been around for a while, what is the hands down best #app for #android? Quirks of the web app are getting old and I wish for a better experience.
Oh well, the official #Mastodon app doubled down on making mastodon.social the default sign-up server. This is a risky move because this will undeniably make the server bigger than it already is.
It is still unclear why mastodon.social, of all instances, was chosen, while there are so many other instances. I'm not too happy with this decision.
@MonaApp just released and I purchased the Mona Pro Max version for 2200 yen which gives a lifetime multi-platform license - a bargain at twice the price. I’ve been using the beta for a few days now and really like it so far! Highly recommended.
i think i‘ve tried almost all mastodon clients for ios in the last couple of months and i‘m still hugely impressed what the mona app can do compared to all the other apps out there. it‘s so versatile and feature packed! not to forget the wonderful themes that are regularly available via @chamona

A lot of bug fixes and quality of life improvements in this release.
Most notably: fixed real time notification for Mastodon v4 (when the streaming API isn't on the same server), better attachment handling, fixed unmute/unblock functionalities and updated project page.
Push #notifications now available for #Calckey#iOS users using the #PWA.
If you update to iOS 16.4 and "add to home screen", that version (called a PWA) will have full notifications and background/offline support!
For those with the PWA already added, you may need to go into Settings> Notifications> and enable push notifications.
Day 36 of #100DaysOfCode is done, and I learned a lot about variables and constants in #JavaScript. After that, I played around with changing styles via JavaScript, and now I slowly understand what I learned in the last couple of days. I also have already made plans for the time after the web development course since I have an idea for an #iOS#app that I want for myself. I think if there is a need for it, maybe other people could use it too. So next will be #SWIFT.
