Habs mit #Syncthing probiert, aber das kann nicht mal Ordner erstellen. Permission denied.

Hello la Mastonie, tite question du dimanche: avez-vous une technique pour bloquer les scanners des zinternets, type Shodan, Censys ? Avec une blaclist d'IP ? au niveau du firewall ? au niveau du service web? Dans mon cas ce serait pour protéger une instance #yunohost ?

Today I discovered that I can't participate in polls, either from the web version or from any app.
Oddly enough, only whalebird shows me correctly the poll options and I can even choose the one I like, but the submit button doesn't seem to have any effect.
Is this a friendica problem in general or could it be a bug unique to my instance ( on #Yunohost )?

I guess this topic has been covered 1000 times before, but I can't seem to find a way to "search and find" the older threads on this forum. So I apologise for returning to a familiar topic.
I installed #friendica on my home micro-server on #Yunohost and after an upgrade it worked perfectly for a few weeks, but lately it has started to frequently show the "504 Gateway Time-out" error page and I wonder if this could be due to some configuration of my node or some other reason.
As a background, at the moment, the server has only one active user, with almost 2.000 contacts.

OK, so I want a nice book database for cataloguing my provate book collection and chose #bookwyrm. It's nice and available on #yunohost, but it's not under a free license - its "anti-capitalist license" excludes military and law enforcement and hence doesn't allow everyone to use it as a free license should.

#Yunohost doesn't make it at all obvious how to install a new server with your original domain with their dynamic DNS system. If you try to use the original domain during install, it will tell you that domain is already in use. To get around this, they say you need to post a request on their support forum to manually delete that domain so you can set it up again. This process isn't covered anywhere that I could find in their official documentation, and I don't know why. There should be an option to import your original domain configuration during install to make this easier. Of course, that would depend on if you still had your original domain configuration in the first place.
I did. I mounted the old hard drive on my desktop to copy what I needed to a thumb drive, then copied that to my server. It was easy and painless once I finally discovered what I needed to do.

Hey open source friends! Do you know of any projects that maintain (or help their community maintain) a collection of plugins/extensions/sub-projects/packages/etc that work with the project?
@shauna maybe a bit different than what you are looking for, but @yunohost may fit the bill, allowing people to package apps for the #Yunohost app catalogue.
Just in case anyone is interested, I recently found that #Yunohosthttps://yunohost.org can be installed and run by a totally #blind user, at least on VMWare Workstation. The install process is more usable with OCR and the Chat GPT descriptions of what is selected, but it is doable without a sighted assistant. Even with out OCR/LLM, hitting enter to accept the defaults is doable for English users who want to select United States and a US keyboard. I believe all this can be changed from the web later. The server's interface on the web is, in my experience, fairly accessible, I'm not seeing any major issues. The applications, of course, vary, but it's a very simple way to run a few server applications on one machine, whether virtual or physical, and I find that it just gets out of the way and works, and that's sufficiently unusual to be commented on.

Sauf erreur de ma part, je n'ai jamais vu de "paquets" #yunohost.
Les applications comme Nextcloud sont téléchargées depuis leur sources, ou parfois depuis les paquets Debian.
Ce sont seulement des scripts facilitateur. Et pour Nextcloud, c'est bien suivi. Et si le suivi s'arrête, tu peux toujours faire les mises à jour à la main.
Faut pas avoir une image si negative de Yunohost 😉
