@shauna maybe a bit different than what you are looking for, but @yunohost may fit the bill, allowing people to package apps for the #Yunohost app catalogue.

@jaapio @shauna Indeed, we in #TYPO3 do a lot for our community. For example:

— Our Security Team also coordinates extension security.

— We have a Best Practices Team

— The Documentation Team is very well coordinated and integrated.

— We also have community team budgets, reimbursement of travel costs to sprints, and budgets backing community ideas.

@shauna Flarum does this in PHP. There are “core” plugins explicitly maintained by the main team, and then a wider network of plugins by others.

@shauna Mozilla and Wordpress are big ones you probably know about but including for completeness; https://extensions.gnome.org/ Wikipedia probably should but afaik it is all fragmentary and unofficial, maybe worth documenting as an antipattern?
