Twofer for #VGMWednesday because they're both songs that have been bouncing around in my head and people often joke that they are the same song. We need more bubbly character themes!
For #VGMWednesday a bit of nostalgia but not really. My kids never ever lingered on the opening screen of Endless Ocean: Blue World, so we never listened to this haunting vocal track.
It's the first day of May, and it's also VGM Wednesday!
I'm going to go with the boss theme of Dynamite Duke, which is such a jam. It goes real well with the cheese strats to take out the bosses, especially the stage 4 boss, who keeps spinning around when you do so :SataniaGiggle:
Apparently there's two versions? I can't hear the difference though :KannaWhat: (The timestamp for the second version is 7:59.)
I'm going with Rabi-Ribi's Rabi Rabi Town, which is a cozy theme that plays in Erina's hometown. It's a safe area that serves as the central hub of Rabi Rabi Island.
Enjoy the music, chill out, pat some bunnies, and maybe become a giant?
I don't remember if I shared this track for #vgmwednesday before or not, but Imma share it anyway since it's so good. The whole OST for this game is underrated.
Potionomics is coming to consoles including Switch, and the music goes hard. Come for the cute shop sim, stay for the orchestrated music with bonus instruments that compliment it (composer Greg Nicolett on conch).
For #VGMWednesday I'm going way back to the #AtariST. This splash screen and the music always conjured up an epic medieval adventure. tbh my overwhelming memory of playing the game was avoiding the enemy army and trying to find the cute pixel art villages. (Sorry, this is the best version I can find. It takes a while to start... And it's not the same without the steady thunk of a floppy drive loading over the top)
With no theme for VGM Wednesday, I thought I would just post the first track that came up in my regular Spotify shuffle. I've been thinking about Monster Hunter Rise a lot again lately, so Mizutsune's theme will do nicely!
Hello, as #VGMWednesday remains without a theme I'm just going to drop this 10 hour loop of "The Only Thing They Fear Is You" from Doom Eternal.
Tbh the only thing Doom Eternal really has going over Doom 2016 is the soundtrack, but you can just listen to this entirely decoupled from the mostly bad experience of playing Doom Eternal! Here's some motivation to go kick the shit out of evil monsters or something.
Problem is, no one else can track down the source, and the game’s composer hasn’t heard of it. So… is this an ancient wiki hoax that passed under the radar for years? Or real?
I'm feeling sneaky for today's #VGMWednesday
This song is apparently called "Theme of Tara" because during the development of the original Metal Gear Hideo Kojima kept vocalizing the melody as "ta-ra".
Anyway here's Needleman.EXE's oddly upbeat garden track from Mega Man Battle Network Transmission. You know, that one game that is to Mega Man Battle Network as Super Paper Mario is to Paper Mario.
Oooh, it's #VGMWednesday again and I'm not seeing a theme... So, I want to touch on #SonicCD again, if I may, with Quartz Quadrant (Good/Future) because it absolutely rocks.
Last week reminded me of some of the classic @ocremix tracks I used to listen to.
Here is Estradasphere's big band inspire remake of Super Mario Brothers 2's overworld music entitled, "Super Buck II." https://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00577
