The legitimacy and composition of the US Supreme Court can be challenged by bills submitted and passed by Congress. It might not happen right away, but it is time to insist on such actions. Here's one:
The United States is the only major constitutional democracy on Earth that allows lifetime tenure for judges on its highest court.
A bill in Congress, the Supreme Court Tenure Establishment and Retirement Modernization (TERM) Act, would institute term limits of 18 years for Supreme Court justices.

"This viscera, this flesh invoked by Sotomayor, was a necessary additive to the cold legal rhetoric, one that put the pregnant body in the center of the room and forced the Court (and anyone listening) to consider the case not in the abstract language of law schools but in the bleeding, chaotic body. Not as it exists in the fairy tales of anti-abortion activists but in its actual existence—porous, fluid, and fragile."
The meaning of "obstruction" is ..... obstruction. Even United States Supreme Court justices ought to be able to get it. Reasoning this through should not take a lot of work.
There have been efforts to #criminalise people who live on the streets in the #UnitedStates.
Supreme Court judges are due to rule on whether a law that essentially makes being #homeless a crime, is #constitutional.
The ruling could affect the lives of more than half a million people.
Al Jazeera’s Rob Reynolds reports from #LosAngeles.
Sharing this again to get the word out…
Click the link below to send a message to the #SupremeCourt. It only takes a minute or two out of your day so make your voice heard. #SCOTUS
Excellent idea to write the #USSupremeCourt Thanks for providing that link. I explained that the People of the United States need the decision much sooner than April 22. And that Article IV of the constitution states that "no one, not even the President or Congress, can be above the law."
This says it all about the border con job republicans are pushing.
“The nominee” doesn’t want the border issue settled!
Hey, Mitch, the last time I checked, the “nominee” has not been officially decided.
Why is congress being controlled and manipulated by a private citizen, running as a candidate?
Talk about racketeering!
A private citizen has absolute control over the legislative branch of government, in order to weaponize the government?
Hey, Jim Jordan. You need to open an investigation into wide-spread corruption, within the republican congress, and their candidate, who are weaponizing the federal government!
The legislative branch has a border deal, but Mitch McConnell, Mike Johnson, and Trump’s MAGA cronies don’t want to upset a CANDIDATE!
There has to be something unconstitutional there, somewhere?
Hey, US Supreme Court.
Is it unconstitutional for a political candidate to have absolute control over the legislative branch of the federal government?
Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito suggested that laws banning conversion therapy may violate the First Amendment
The order also noted that Justice Brett Kavanaugh would have reviewed the case as well, but did not include a written opinion by him in support of the petition.
In the first #college application season since the #USSupremeCourt struck down #AffirmativeAction, #AsianAmerican#students are more stressed out than ever. #RaceConscious admissions were widely seen to have disadvantaged them, as borne out by #disparities in the test scores of admitted students — but many feel that race will still be a hidden factor and that standards are even more opaque than before.
Adopting a code of ethics that explicitly purports only to be a codification of preexisting principles is an absurd response to repeated unethical conduct by a Justice who has been on the Supreme Court for a long time. #LawFedi#USsupremeCourt#Ethics
Unlike the #USSupremeCourt - the #Oklahoma#SupremeCourt has no set schedule to respond to appeals. Supporters of the 109-year-old #Tulsa Race Massacre survivors can only hope the high court rules in their favor as soon as possible.
