I started watching the #Witcher season 3. Suddenly there are lots of #queer characters. This feels odd. Not representation in itself, which is of course welcome. But rather, I don't remember any queer references in the first two series. There is no discussion of, say, rights of same sex couples, no signs of homophobia/queerphobia, no monarchs with a same sex partner, and so on. So it feels shoehorned in, changing the world setting, presumably to please the audience. #lgbt+ #TheWitcher
Franchise author Andrzej Sapkowski says the streamer didn't listen to his suggestions for the show, which has been plagued by uproars over deviations from its source material.
Doug Cockle, voice of Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher video games, is headlining a new Dungeons & Dragons actual play series called Natural Six. Announced on Monday, the 10-episode run will feature several other well known voice video game voice actors.
Wait there's an entire season of The Witcher that I haven't seen?
Time for some great fight scenes, grunting growly grumpy men, idiot bards, and pretty bad plot!
It'll be a shame to lose Cavill next season. He really pulls the whole thing together. Hemsworth is gonna have to be pretty good to keep this wreck of a plot going. #TheWitcher
Es kam endlich dieses riesengroße Paket mit "The Witcher" an 😀
Das Material sieht super aus und ich freue mich schon aufs Bemalen der Miniaturen. Bin auch schon sehr auf das Spielgefühl gespannt.
I read somewhere that cats and bunnies can get along well because for cats grooming the other is dominant behaviour and for bunnies getting groomed means they are the dominant one, so the cat cleans the bunny and both think the other submits to them.
I started rereading Sapkowski's #TheWitcher Saga and I'm beginning to understand why I fail to remember anything about it.
I skipped the short story collections, which I really like, but have read multiple times already. I really wanted to get to the Ciri prophesy plot. But Blood of Elves has to be one of the most boring books I've read. It's not "hard" to read, but nothing happens. There's no climax in the book, merely 400 pages of preamble. 😅
Any other opinions?
In case anyone out there is wondering--as I recently was--about the name "Condwîramurs," I have some info for you. Contrary to the very limited resources available online, the name does NOT, in fact, mean "white flower." It means "love conducts" or "love leads."
This info comes from the scholarly work GEMSTONE OF PARADISE by G. Ronald Murphy, and it is for you if you #nerd out over "Parzifal" by Wolfram von Eschenbach or #TheWitcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski or both.
Finally finishing up the last two Witcher season 3 episodes tonight - pretty great season. Some cool creatures and monsters and such (which is what I mostly tune in for 🤣). Shame the next won't have Henry as Geralt. Still don't see how that's going to work. It's quite a dynamic between these three. What a show.

Found a friend interested in sharing a p-patch (a garden allotment).
Took the long way home on my bike for a lovely ride on a hot day.
Watched an episode of #TheWitcher -- it was great!
