Okay...so...TECHNICALLY this was finished while it was still MY Friday, so I'm posting it today. #PraiseHim#PrayerCloth is cross stitched on the front panel. Outlines that would normally be #Backstitch are #CrossQuilted to make the project double-sided. I should be able to finish the second copy tonight. After that, I'll be correcting errors and posting the proofed pattern to Ko-Fi. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll tell you when free digital & paid printable versions are available.
It's not only a birthday present, it's an affirmation that self-care is crucial lol
My daughter looks forward to her quiet weekend mornings, just sipping coffee and watching the world roll by - hopefully, a lap quilt will stretch "porch season" just a little bit further for her :)
'A carpenter living on the Faroe Islands off the northern coast of Europe packaged up a handmade red sweater and a small note.
“My wife sends her regards,” the note read. “Thank you for the pudding rice. She sends your fiancé this sweater and hopes that it is not displeasing to her.”
The gift was sent on a ship in 1807 and intended for Copenhagen, Denmark. It never arrived.'
Do you remember my #VisibleMending project with a second hand #blazer? https://mastodon.online/@NatureMC/111884442223704931 The collar with a suede imitation was completely worn out. For contrast, I choose a chicken print from the Provence, and for harmony, more patches. It's nearly ready. Problem: the remaining collar tips are unequal. I decided to applicate different motives on them to conceal it. @visiblemending@sewing
