Ok starting a new art thread for 2023! Here's the deal: a mostly daily thread with a different artist every day (sometimes I repeat from previous years if I feel like featuring other work/projects), primarily modern and contemporary since that's my thing. I'm even making a hashtag for it in case that makes it easier for folks to follow. Enjoy! #art#BigArtThread
Landscapes by French artist Maurice de Vlaminck, 1900s, a key figure in the Fauvist movement, characterized by artists' use of intense, fanciful color. #art#painting#BigArtThread
"Sunny Memories" by Olena Kishkurno (Watercolor On Paper).
Memories of the days by the sea... Where you may not think, but just breathe and live. Where the sun's glare is blinding, reflected in the stunning blue of the water. Where the pines bend their branches over the rocky shore.
Cancun beach, abstract. Mixed media painting combining photography and digital art. I find this image so calming. Thought it was perfect for #SilentSunday
Finished “Watercolor with Markers” by Jessica Mack just in time for #MerMay! I love this plant, it might be my favorite of my paintings from the whole book. (I think her version of the cactus I painted yesterday is my favorite of her paintings from the book, in case you were wondering.) Her book is great, I highly recommend seeing if your library has a copy! #NotSponsored
PS-LMK if you're doing MerMay so I can make sure I'm following you!
