Here's a little #backlist love for "The Rock Star in the Mirror."
This 2013 #DarkComedy#novelette was my love letter to #DavidBowie. In it, Joe is willing to do anything to get Lynnie's attention. The two live in a small #OregonCoast town, Rockaway, where the majority of the tale takes place.
The book was a nominee in the 2013#globalebookawards, in both the short fiction and cover art categories. Cover designer is James Courtney.

The other evening at a coffee shop I had plenty to work on, but I was just fried. It's been a busy couple of months, and my ability to make words was gone. So I switched gears and processed some of the photos I made during my recent trip down the Oregon coast. Engaging that different part of my brain, and working in black and white, really settled me in the best way.

This was going to be the eclipse spot, which began with a brilliant rosy sunrise, but then the clouds rolled in. No eclipse sighting for me, but making photos and drinking coffee against this backdrop made the day worth it.

I have a fear of heights and had to crawl on my hands and knees to this location. The trail is narrow with cliffs to either side which plunge into the ocean.
Nana's Irish Pub is one of the most popular restaurants in the Nye Beach District in Newport, Oregon! They have corned beef (real lean) to die for...especially when they put it on a Reuben!
