I'm confident that this device, if it exists at all, is a modern sculpture. But the image has been circulating for more than twenty years, so the notion appeals to somebody. Behold, the steam-powered sex machine!
I’ve been led to believe there may be some #train enthusiasts on Mastodon. This morning I spent a while walking around looking at and photographing old train equipment and this absolute unit was the star of the show. I would love to hear that whistle blow! #steamengine
Today is a great day to introduce (or remind) people to Geoffrey Jones' classic short film Snow (1963, 8mins long) about the British Rail system dealing with an exceedingly heavy winter — superbly edited as series of accelerating, interleaved short sequences perfectly cut to the music.
