Controversial #gaming opinion: I liked the original version of #NoMansSkya lot. The emptiness, the barren universe, the relics of a dead culture, the harshness of the environments. I got out when the game became more social, because that’s not what I signed up for. I was having lots of feels being a lone explorer and would’ve gladly continued on that path. Alas, that’s not how games are made nowadays. Always need an online component.
#NoMansSky just dropping a MASSIVE update today. Taking what we've been told about game development and just obliterating it. Subs? Nah. Cash shop? No way! Box price alone this entire time. This is mostly why I love this game. Hello Games is such an outlier in the industry. Refusing to bow to "live service" shenanigans they've still built and continue massive development on an amazing product. I'm not really a "Day 1" type person but this I may check out tonight.
In the past, when I would come up with a fun phrase, I would say $FUN_PHRASE is my new band name. Which really started to annoy my band, especially the one dude with money who had to get stickers made.
I have a new outlet for this: In #NoMansSky, I can just drop half a Bil to hire a new frigate, and re-name it.
“Machine Gun Ski Patrol” is my new frigate name. Or maybe “Full-auto Biathlon”
Here’s a #NoMansSky tip I learned. If you make the Sentinels on a planet mad and you don’t care to fight, just dig a hole and jump in. They’ll eventually lose interest. I make a tunnel, then another tunnel at a right angle, and they rarely find their way in there.
Habe auf eure Empfehlung endlich mal wieder mit #NoMansSky angefangen. Ist eine Weile her, dass ich das gespielt habe und gerade habe ich meine erste Siedlung gefunden.
Die Idee der Umsetzung ist interessant. Ich mag die Idee ein Idle-Game in diesem eh schon riesigen Spiel zu haben irgendwie ganz gerne. 😅
Bin gespannt, was mich diesbezüglich noch erwarten wird. Auf jeden Fall hat die Siedlung es erfolgreich geschafft mich von meinen eigentlichen Zielen abzulenken. 😅
@kaiserkiwi Ich hatte einige Jahre pausiert… und habe es jetzt kürzlich noch einmal ganz neu gestartet. Zur Einstimmung auf #Starfield. Ist schon ein tolles Projekt. Mir eigentlich zu bunt, aber dennoch empfinde ich wieder eine Faszination für #NoMansSky
Das Spiel ist einfach so viel mehr, als noch vor ein paar Jahren. 🤯 Bin immer noch am Anfang (12 Stunden bisher) hab aber jetzt schon mehr gesehen als in allen anderen Spielständen zuvor. Also ja, es gibt immer wieder Updates, aber holy cow ist das Spiel massiv.
Und ich bin echt froh, dass sie das Problem adressiert haben, dass man manchmal einfach nicht weiß, wie man ein Ziel erreichen soll. Es gibt so ziemlich für Alles Hilfssysteme. Das macht es nicht super einfach, aber zumindest weiß man wo man lang muss. Und es gibt fast immer mehrere Wege das Ziel zu erreichen.
