This is so weird. I'm on a dissonant planet searching for Dissonant Replicators so I can get Echo Locators. I find one of those towers that usually spawn the big Minotaur looking boss, and I'm able to access the mainframe and tell it to disable all Sentinels. Well, apparently it disables them planetwide because I'm now flying around looking for the Dissonant Resonators and there are NO SENTINELS anymore! And their ammo canisters are just laying on the ground. Very weird.
Today on No Man's Sky: Omega Update, today's stream title is "The Search for More Grind".
We're hiring more workers at the base and trying to complete missions for the existing crew. Hopefully we'll get to a place where we can move forward with the Apollo subplot as we work towards with completing the Artemis story line.
I tidied up my ship inventory in No Man's Sky before work, getting rid of some ships I wasn't using.
I'm also working on a hybrid base which will be above water and underwater, I'll be using short range teleporters to navigate this base. I'm hoping to make an awesome looking structure for people to find! 😤
I completed Phase 5 of Expedition 12: Omega this morning, it only took me two hours! I claimed all my rewards, changed my look, and this freed me to create more bases on various worlds; I need some resource collection hubs for easy breezy stocking of my resources.
Sadly, the S-Tier Freighter which I found during this expedition didn't transfer over; I can always find a new one in my normal save! I have units to spare for purchasing a new one.
I'm sacrificing two Wednesdays off to get a bit of extra cash for future purchases; certainly will regret it in the short term but future me will be happy!
I can still finish a load of laundry and the No Man's Sky Phase Four milestones before going to work tomorrow. This will leave me with Phase Five to finish on my remaining days off!
Today on No Man's Sky: Omaga Update, we got our freighter! It's a C-class but it flies!
We traded in our starter ship for a B class shuttle but I need to make some money to continue trading up. I'd prefer a fighter or maybe one of those exotic class ships I've seen hanging around the star bases.
This afternoon we'll continue the Artemis story line and see how far we get!
“It looks like a gigantic and magnetic storm cell with temperatures of 10,000 degrees Celsius, lightning everywhere and winds blowing so fast they would go around Earth in a second”
I've done a lot of this during the No Man's Sky Expedition which I've not done in the main game; Smuggling goods for example, I earned so many Units from that! I'll still choose to salvage Ships, Abandoned Freighters, and other sites of interest. Since its profitable and allows me to fully document planets for additional Nanites.
I completed Phase 3, getting lovely rewards on top of the Sentinel Staff Multi-Tool! I got a Sentinel Interceptor Transponder as well. 🤩
I'm going to have fun discovering my first Sentinel Interceptor tomorrow morning after breakfast! That will also complete a Phase Four Milestone at the same time. Its nice that these Milstones are making rare loot accessible to players.
Today on No Man's Sky: We have the power to our base set up now so we don't have to literally keep feeding coal into the boilers, but we need a large refiner so that we can free ourselves from our coal habit once and for all.
I still need to buy a new ship to replace my jank starter ship so I can actually take on pirates. I need a few million more "units" first so today will be a lot of mission hunting.
I've made progress on the Milestones for Phase 3 today before work! This latest Expedition for No Man's Sky is engaging enough that I wasn't even aware of time passing. These milestones can be done in any order; I love being able to freely change my focus and get credit for things I unsuspectingly complete.
Today on No Man's Sky: Omega, we're going to try again but this time we will not redeem the bonus content until our ship is repaired. Yesterday we triggered a bug (shocking, I know) where if your ship's pulse engine was damaged but you didn't go through the tutorial mission to pick up the Hermetic Seal, you'd be SOL and have to start over or go into Creative Mode to fix the problem.
I ended up completing Phase 2 of the new No Man's Sky Expedition. That session went fast after a few minutes of getting used to my fresh character! This is the first Expedition I've ever done; the novelty is propelling me into rapid progress.
I'm putting the Living Starship Quest on hold because it's very tiresome. As in my Non-Expedition save, I'm in the part of the solar system I need to be. With luck, after the Expedition I'll be able to finally assemble the thing!
Let's start a new play-through of No Man's Sky with the new update that was just released. As always, the goal at the beginning of the game is to get a decent fighter ship followed by a frigate. We'll be doing the Artemis Path in the game with the goal to travel to another galaxy, but that's more of a long-term objective.
#kbin is a mostly great Reddit-Like service that collects the fediverse into one place. That is an issue because there are servers out there which post illegal stuff. My day was ruined by reporting those who post that gross, illegal content! 🤢
I'm probably going to play No Man's Sky for the rest of today to get over the icky and uncomfortable feeling that pervades my mind. Especially since I'm still trying to complete the Living Starship Quest.
That's what I call labor of love: a new free DLC from Hello Games seven years after release :ablobcatheart: 🙏 If you always wanted to try No Mans Sky this is your chance. The game is free to play this weekend from Feb 15-19th and it will be amazing, I'm expecting much love and message beacons from travellers from all over the world.
