Voted in #SantaFe#NewMexico today, a place where the Democratic primary determines some of the ultimate races. One race really struck me as emblematic of the future, assuming constitutional democracy survives in the U.S. 1/
I know people have various thoughts about voting, but for me an important perspective is that it's about harm reduction...
Often, this means recognizing but there is both offense and defense involved in being engaged. The more you practice both, the more prepared you are to know what is needed, and act on it.
If you're in #NewMexico, the polls are open til 7p and you can even register and vote on the spot if you're new or it's been a while
We're also blessed in that our elections are both secure and accessible, including being ranked number one in the nation recently by MIT Election Data and Science Lab, which is no small feat

A few days ago I presented a photo of the footpath leading down into the natural entrance of the caverns. Here is a view looking into the large chamber. This was before the conversion to all LED lighting which is supposed to be quite nice.
Haven’t been to a movie theater in years, but was curious what was showing at the local one here (the Dreamcatcher 10, in Española, #NewMexico).
Apparently everything, but more importantly, adult tickets are $7.75 and $5.75 for a matinee! I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen ticket prices that low since I was in high school (in Berkeley, CA, so prices were probably even lower here).
