I've been busy over the last several weeks and haven't been posting much but we've had a few good lifer weeks recently so here we go.
We were visiting my parents in South Central Pennsylvania and got a glimpse of this Sora..... with chicks!
May the artwork bring to your soul the joy and independence that living free -- thinking, speaking, and journeying -- engenders, nurtures, and strengthens.
In 2022 I had an incredible trip up to #Yukon#Canada. I spent two weeks hiking and camping around the Northern Artic, getting rained on, hailed on, snowed on, and of course had a few moments of sun too.
While there, I made a collection of #monochrome images to capture the cloud patterns on the peaks. These are some favorites.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be a lot more giant hogweed around Glasgow this summer, and growing in large numbers in places it hasn't been growing before?
If you don't know, giant hogweed is an invasive plant species which can grow up to five metres tall and has sap capable of severely burning uncovered skin. For that reason, they always make me think of science fiction's ultimate invasive plant species - the Triffid!
It was red rock country, all right, but not limited to that. The surface of the rocks and cliffs caught light, absorbed shadows, in such a way that an array of colors set forth before the viewer.
And they didn't just stay that way. As the light shifted and changed, so did the colors of the canyon.
Nature refuses to be circumscribed and classified.
