The Pegasus hacking comes against a backdrop of escalating crackdowns on civic space and press freedom in Jordan, growing instability and violence across the region, and an increasingly-exposed use of invasive spyware across the globe. Among those targeted are two Jordan-based staff at Human Rights Watch, as confirmed by a forensic analysis conducted by Human Rights Watch in collaboration with Amnesty International’s Security Lab."
In a video from Gaza, Shalev Hulio, the former CEO of Pegasus spyware firm NSO Group, announced millions for a new venture called Dream Security.
Dream Security was co-founded by Michael Eisenberg an Israeli American venture capitalist.
Former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, dubbed “Austria’s mini-Trump” is also a Dream co-founder. The firm has deep ties to the Israeli and international far-right.
Out of a staff of 70, 13 are former NSO Group staff.

I've been threatened by everyone from #GwynethPaltrow to #RalphLauren to the #Sacklers. I've been threatened by lawyers representing the billionaire who owned #NSOGroup, the notoroious cyber arms-dealer.
Still, I'm convinced consumer protecion @verbraucherzentrale ] will agree that demaing someone to do so via a 3rd party that is outside of Germany / the EU as only option is indeed a violation of one's consumer rights, as there's no means to enforce #GDPR in #Israel due to lack of bilateral agreements.
Otherwise victims of #Pegasus would've sued #NSOgroup years ago and forced them to purge all data in their #SaaS#Govware ...
