In addition to Mirlo, I intend to get my music up on Faircamp, Funkwhale, Jam Co-op, etc.
But it took more time than I expected to get established on Mirlo, so when I went to the Faircamp site and saw a completely different setup that looks even more complicated, my brain was like NOPE. DRUGS ALL GONE. NOT ENOUGH BRAINS LEFT FOR TASK. :AAAAAA:
So my trust old Livid Instruments CTRL-R is starting to get very buggy, last night's gig was a pain! A friend has lend me a BRC2000 which hopefully does the trick. Is anyone here using one with Ableton?
Behringer makes shitty stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2C7B3dnyt4
Just spend an extra £150 if you want a cheap version of the 1073 and get the Warm Audio one ffs. The AMS Neve one is 1500.
Humble Bundle seems to have a bundle with some Cherry Audio virtual synths at the moment, including Quadra which you'll hear on a few Key 13 tracks, notably Primavera and Lateral Flow.
Also includes Mercury-4 which is a Roland Jupiter-4 emulation, and Dreamsynth.
The deal includes a whole bunch of sample packs too.
Not affiliated in any way but I use a lot of Cherry Audio stuff and this is a cheap price...!
@keefmarshall thanks for the heads-up on this (& to @etherdiver for getting it on my timeline!)… big fan of voltage modular but hadn’t dipped into cherry’s other stuff until now!
Dubfood outboard gear running. Elberg master comp just installed. Don't know how to tweak that nice yet but sounding sweet already ❤️ #elberg#Analog#MusicProduction#dub
My plan is currently to first do plain old analog recordings (100 sounds with 3½ octaves each, that's not gonna be fun, even when I'm just recording C and F), but then I'd try to open it up, maybe I can even dump the ROM or something. This thing is from 1994, they didn't protect their ROMs back then, did they.
