Making progress with #BitRitter. Slow, but steady.
Today i implemented a password input to unlock the #BitWarden / #VaultWarden vault, so we can soon remove a part of the credentials.toml (which was just a workaround for faster testing) and make the app safer. #Relm4 feels nicer the more i get to work with it.
Sadly my ARM CI did not work as nicely as the x86, so i can't package for my phone easily.
I really wish somebody continued the Suru icon theme or #Lomiri would switch over to Yaru. Having to hack together a way for the two to coexist is giving me a headache.
Wrote a blog post about the first two months of my #pinephone Pro usage as a PDA and how I got around solving some initial hardware problems (spoiler: read the manual, then asked the support team).
My first (very incomplete and WIP) iteration of my #MobileLinux#BitWarden client. It ia usually not ready for others to use, but i need to publish it to stay motivated.
Works with #VaultWarden aswell. You have to build it fron source though, for the time being.
For those wanting to give #Lomiri a try on #postmarketOS based on my last post, I wrote a quick shell script to set up the pmaports environment for you. All you have to do is run the shell script and then run pmbootstrap init and make sure to select "y" when prompted "Build outdated packages during 'pmbootstrap install'?".
All parts of #Lomiri have been upstreamed from #postmarketOS to #AlpineLinux!!! Now it is super easy to test Lomiri yourself! Only the pmOS UI package needs to be built manually. I might write a quick post explaining how to do it if people are interested.
workspace_swipe_touch was just merged into #Hyprland; I would say this is almost a competitive #mobilelinux interface, but still not a perfect drop-in for sway. #hymo
#Lomiri on #postmarketOS running on systemd! It is in a very early state and barely anything works yet, but I am excited about the prospects of not having to dance around the OpenRC polyfills anymore!
Quick question: I decided to take on another project (dumb, right?) but the good thing is that it's a thing that does not run forever and I can work on it in very small chunks. It's also kinda important to the #mobileLinux space. I would like to blog it about semi-daily like @flypig and @piggz do.
There is no better time to return from a hiatus than now! I guess I should re-introduce myself to anybody who sees this. I am justsoup, a person who likes #MobileLinux a little too much, specifically #postmarketOS. I have a totally healthy obsession with making #Lomiri run on it for no reason other than not being a spy for Canonical. I also tinker with Chromebooks sometimes. I run #VoidLinux as my daily driver and absolutely love #Linux (if that wasn't obvious).
Does anyone know a good guide to writing/debugging #Alsa UCM profiles? With Linux 6.8-rc6 the audio stack on my #Pinephone always prefers a (non-existent) headset. If I just want to play audio switching output manually is easy enough, but callaudiod setting the wrong input & output when a call starts is a real problem. #MobileLinux
I wish there was a easier way to put Linux mobile on phones, I mean it's pretty painless to put Linux on desktops and laptops. What's the hold up on mobile devices? Yeah I know there are some good Linux mobile options, but they are still hard to port to just about any device.
February in Nemomobile: Lipstick no longer crashes, Maliit keyboard now shows up, key controls in Nemo improved, NGFD settings fixed. Proud to showcase at FOSDEM alongside top mobile Linux platforms. Still in experimental phase but making strides!
Today i flashed postmarketos using the web flasher, in less than 10 minutes i booted into gnome with the mobile patches, thanks to everyone that made this posible!
