For #PrideMonth a lot of lawmakers are trying to make the #Pride flag illegal 🌈
If you do not like our flag, all you have to do is close your eyes like you already do for #covid#climatechange#genocide or the #homeless the list is long so it should not be an effort.
Here we think there should be a lot more issues that you need to be concerned with.
We welcome the #lgbtq community and we think that the planet does not care who dares to be responsible for her. That job needs to be done and it will honor you.
‘Months of extreme hunger have already killed many Palestinians in Gaza and caused permanent damage to children through malnutrition, two new food security reports have found, even before famine is officially declared’
‘14 members of his family were killed in an airstrike on his home in Gaza City. When he & his parents & siblings moved to Rafah, they were bombed & buried beneath the rubble, & his mother was killed.’
“I’m now in Deir al-Balah, in al-Shuhada al-Aqsa Hospital. And it’s super crowded here, because several bombings have happened in the last two hours. The hospital is super crowded, and many injured people are here.”
“We got our sister awake, but not aware. She was vomiting blood. We went to a near house, and we hid there. And unfortunately, my mother suffered from internal bleeding, and she didn’t make it.”
“We now live in a tent, which is super hard for me and my family. Because al-Mawasi and Rafah city has kind of a desert climate, because we are near to Sinai Desert, it is super hot. And living in a tent is exactly like living in an oven.”
“Before the war, you and your twin brother were students. Could you talk to us about what you were studying and what your hopes were for your own future before the war?”
“The person on the left is me, Helmi. My name in Arabic means “my dream.” My mother named me. The person in the middle is my mother, Ibtisam, which means “smile.” And she always smiled. And the person on the left is my identical twin brother Mohammed.”
“And I’m still under shock, because just two minutes before this interview starts, I saw a shattered dead body. And it was a super horrifying scene. I still can’t, like, process that. After all I went through, I still can’t process seeing this kind of destructive.”
‘Israel has killed at least 75 Palestinians in Gaza over the past 24 hours as Israeli forces attack the Bureij and al-Maghazi refugee camps in central Gaza’
Remember the morons who said back in December that bypassing #congress to give arms to #Israel unconditionally would make it more compliant with #US demands?
"Israel’s actions likely met Lemkin’s original definition long before the war on Gaza. Starting in 1947, roughly 700,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled by Israel & barred from returning."
Lemkin wrote about how his original definition of genocide had been undermined in its codification:
"They want nonenforceable laws with many loopholes in them, so that they can manage life like currency in a bank.”
“Why the hospitals? Why the primary health care system? Why do they kill the poets, the academic leaders?
Why do they kill the students? Why do they bomb the universities and the museums? Because this has nothing to do with the Hamas-Israeli war.”
Must listen, indepth and detailed interview & testimony from Norwegian anaesthesiologist & emergency medicine specialist Dr Mads Gilbert who’s involvement with Gaza & Palestine goes back to 1982
‘We end today’s show looking at Israel’s war on Gaza and its impact on Palestinian children. More than 15,000 Palestinian children have been killed over the past eight months, and Palestinian officials are warning over 3,500 children are at risk of death due to starvation.’
“And, Janti, when you spoke at the United Nations in April, you said that more children have been killed in this conflict than have been killed in all armed conflicts globally over the past four years.”
“we estimate that over 80% of schools are either damaged or completely destroyed. What’s left of some of these schools are actually populated by people who are displaced. So there is no way schools can function at this point in Gaza”
