"Rainbringer" and "Rainbringer (Alternate Version)"
Another set of photographs from the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill taken in 2015. I have not published these for sale as they depict a fountain that I did not build myself and fall into grey areas of copyright law.

I want to #EDC a #fountainpen but it's just too impractical since I usually carry a #pen to mark things on vertically mounted servers, a use case where #fountain#pens don't work 🙃
Fortunately I have this nice pen I bought at an arts fair a few years ago with a nice wood grain.
Walruses, dolphinfish, herons and cherubs holding crocodiles: This is the uniquely fabulous and bizarre Grand Central Fountain in Paisley. Dating from 1868, it was made for the industrialist Thomas Coats by the famous Sun Foundry based in Port Dundas in Glasgow. It was beautifully restored in the 2010s, and as far as I know there isn't another fountain like it anywhere else in the world.
Usually my dog does her best to ignore whatever I'm photographing, but every now and then she gets as captivated as I do. In this case, I think it was the walruses that did it!
For those who don't know, this is the Sun Foundry's 1868 Grand Fountain in Paisley. I'll post some proper pictures of it tomorrow.
Cast-iron fountain created by Walter MacFarlane and Co at the Saracen Foundry for the 1901 Glasgow Empire Exhibition in Kelvingrove Park. It can now be found across the city in Alexandra Park.
Karlsruhe Castle at night - before the renovations
Since I took this image in 2010, the castle grounds have been renovated and the fountain no longer exists. All of the landscaping in front of the castle has been changed. This was taken at 10 pm and just after I took the shots, the fountain was turned off and all of the lights went out.
