Usually my dog does her best to ignore whatever I'm photographing, but every now and then she gets as captivated as I do. In this case, I think it was the walruses that did it!
For those who don't know, this is the Sun Foundry's 1868 Grand Fountain in Paisley. I'll post some proper pictures of it tomorrow.
Walruses, dolphinfish, herons and cherubs holding crocodiles: This is the uniquely fabulous and bizarre Grand Central Fountain in Paisley. Dating from 1868, it was made for the industrialist Thomas Coats by the famous Sun Foundry based in Port Dundas in Glasgow. It was beautifully restored in the 2010s, and as far as I know there isn't another fountain like it anywhere else in the world.
The William Annan Fountain on Renfield Street in Glasgow.
Designed by Robert Lorimer and sculpted by Scott and Rae, this public drinking fountain was erected in 1915. It was presented to the City of Glasgow by William Annan, a wine and spirits merchant from Port Dundas.

Foam by Charles d'Orville Pilkington Jackson in Greenbank Garden, Clarkston, near Glasgow.
This figure was first displayed at the 1938 Empire Exhibition in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. Fifty years later, it was also displayed at the Glasgow Garden Festival in the summer of 1988.
Triton, the son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, blowing a conch horn in the gardens of Culzean Castle on the Clyde coast. The fountain was designed by Austin and Sealy and was created in 1877.
One of my favorite museums is The Ringling Museum of Art in Florida. This photo shows one of the fountains in the museum's central courtyard, which displays recreations of notable statues from the Classical, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical periods. #MythologyMonday
