This slender beauty of delicate flowers with bright colors is the state flower of Colorado. It and a lovely variety of flowers in the garden at the Cuchara Yacht Club last summer were attracting butterflies, bees and the Hummingbird Moths.
The antique car, rusted with age, its windows replaced by plastic which was held in place by tape is obviously not going anywhere any time soon! The lupines, in full bloom were a riot of color with their jewel tone blooms and bright green stalks.
Red flowers and red shutters -
an image full of contrasts, between old and new life, fresh flowers and weathered wood, vibrant red of the flowers, pale red of the shutters, inside and outside, daylight and artificial light, looking inside and looking outside, red and green ...
Impressions of a Yellow Lily - from my garden. The idea was to capture the essence of something. I love the bright yellow color. Can't wait to see them again.
@plants#FlowersOnFriday first full post of things actually flowering now for this year! The Galanthus #SnowDrops were not the earliest thing when I planted them in this rock garden- that is usually Crocus and Draba is often earlier still (not this year), but over time they've become earlier now starting with or just before (as this year) the first Crocus. Plus the second flowering wild species: Aspen/Populus tremuloides (some Willows/Salix beat them just slightly). #gardening#Alberta
Isn't it just so pretty? If my research is right then this is a yellow buttonbush flower that I found in Canberra, Australia, where I marvelled at its beauty and of course had to take a picture of it to eventually share with you all later ;)
Hello! I'm an anti-fascist from #Florida. I followed @Teri_Kanefield here from the other site. She's great, be nice to her!
I keep my sanity in this state by ripping out grass and planting #nativeplants I planted the Solidago and Liatris last spring (foreground), and spent this past "winter" removing the grass from the background area. I will share #FlowersOnFriday#FlowerFriday as things bloom!
