The admin’s profile is filled with hate speech and the such as the admin boosts pretty hateful content.
Really now? Another person thinking the solution to bad actors on fedi is to create a hashtag with the explicit intention of dogpiling them. A brigading hashtag was not a solution to women being trolled and POC being targeted is no different. You are just throwing gas on a fire.
If you encounter racism report it. If your admin doesn’t act then migrate. If the instance that account is on doesn’t get suspended then defederate it. That is exactly what moderation is for. 💯
@jdm2 the problem is how you go about warning the community. If you use a hashtag then people like that will learn about it and the hashtag becomes a target. Same way #FediBlock is abused now. People still use it for this purposes and I have seen it lead to dogpiling. I think the private groups feature that Mastodon is working on could be a pretty good solution for what you are suggesting but the feature is not finished yet.

@eris IDK, you might be on the wrong side of the #Fediblock if that's been your experience. The free speech side generally doesn't have this problem.
I do get some criticism when, for example, I criticize #Trump in largely #MAGA-populated spaces and threads, but even then no one can keep me from sharing my opinions because the instance I'm on supports free speech.

The #ContentNation situation is a dumpster fire for the #Fediverse. What would you do if you were building something, people misunderstood what it was, and things escalated to a point that someone loaded CSAM onto your server for the sake of reporting it?
I would like to suggest a #fediblock for this guy and possibly the whole instance for posting antisemitism into the Palestine group on gup.pe. I'm not sure how pervasive this issue is on that server, but we should not be tolerating this kind of Liberal, Zionist racism on the fedi.

If I see you spreading disinformation even upon being corrected I am #Fediblock will add to blocklists and add receipts. A friend of mine just learned his transgender nephew committed suicide this weekend with a direct correlation to our province's government's decision to restrict the rights to healthcare of transgender youth and their parents.
All three servers have been used for pushing spam across the Feddiverse. In all cases, I’ve given admins time to moderate and remove spam from their servers, and none of them have taken action. Spam continues to be hosted on those servers, and will likely be used for more spam.
Additionally, admins allow open registrations on their servers. They demonstrate a complete disregard for moderation. I suspect that these are abandoned servers.
The following instances that were previously spamming have upgraded to Mastodon 4.2.8 (which stops open sign ups when the instance is not maintained). They are probably safe to unblock if you have them blocked
