"Night Lights of Kharkiv"
This is a nostalgic painting. The painting is a memory of my beautiful pre-war Kharkiv. Where the bright lights of street lamps reflected in the Lopan River and crowds of joyful people filled the embankment, listened to street musicians, and admired the majestic silhouette of the Annunciation Cathedral.
Russell Street should not terminate in a cul-de-sac at Canield like this. There's still pedestrian access, but why can't we have a street grid like a normal #city? #Detroit#urbanism#streetgrid
The photo this is based on is nearly 15 years old now. In that time I've read this #London club closed and has apparently re-opened again. I spotted it on a walk on my last night in London and the red glow was attention getting.
I'll start off my first -real- post with, well, me!
This is the third ref sheet I've gotten for myself, back in 2020 and made by Isvoc over at http://isvoc-art.com/. The previous one lasted 6 years, and really the only reason I got the new one was to clarify a few things; that and Isvoc was one of my first choices originally so I did it now that i could!
Overall I guess you could say my look dates back to at least 2006, with just tweaks where necessary.
Last #cyberpunk Saturday for now, since I only have one image left I haven't shared with that sort of theme, though it also leans more to just the urban aesthetic.
Just taking a 3am night walk, and it was fairly quiet that night it seems. Of course no one wants to mess with a #dragon...
