Irre... 🥳
I'm working on a lot of stuff right now, including, but not limited to:
Full gameplay explanation of Wayfarers video
Two vids on Flamecraft, one guest starring my youngest daughter
Fox Experiment video and write up
But if you'd like to check out my latest video, click the link below and take 4 minutes out of your day to learn about Wayfarers of the South Tigris from #GarphillGames
Toying around with changing up the style of my YouTube thumbnails for my #BoardGame reviews. Any opinion on old vs new? Putting a poll in the comments if you want to vote! Old style is the one with the white on left, new is the other.
Our Firefly 10th Anniversary Upgrade kit arrived this morning
I knew it had arrived as @lindsaylikestea exclaimed what on earth had I been buying when Parcelforce arrived
So myself and @magickmogwai just spent the past hour transplanting the base game, Breakin’ Atmo, Blue Sun, Kalidasa, Pirates & Bounty Hunters and the ship upgrades into it!
My #BURST video on Wayfarers of the South Tigris is out now! This video will give you a run down in 4 minutes on how the game plays.
Unfortunately, the long form video had some corrupted audio that I'm going to have to re-do this weekend. So, if you were looking forward to the full setup and gameplay explanation, you'll have to wait just a little bit longer.
From what I read, it doesn't teach you #solarpunk or #degrowth mindsets, it merely adds some pollution tokens, it doesn't reward players for cooperation.
Instead it implements some questionable #gameDesign allowing - and promoting - a win condition of betraying any climate alliances at the last moment to get the most points - essentially a prisoner's dilemma.
Another 2 player game of #TheFoxExperiment in the books. Linds won AGAIN by 2 single points. We went much faster this time, probably closer to 30 or 40 minutes and handling the third wheel AI was much smoother.
Finished my first #solo game of Scholars of the South Tigris and lost 60 to 42. I didn't really understand the flow for about half the game so I think I will be more confident on my second go round. The AI scores a ton for retiring translators and early on, I let him control too many guilds so he scored a lot on the early Caliph cards.
Question: the AI can translate scrolls of the same language? They just score that condition as many times as they translated?
