When a stubborn black #bear made its way up a tree in a neighborhood in Golden, #Colorado, #wildlife#rangers went to great lengths to get the animal from the tree safely. That included blasting #BlackSabbath’s “Iron Man” in an attempt to coax it down.
As it turns out, this particular black bear, if not a fan, certainly wasn’t bothered by the iconic song.

Conservation officers searched the area for the injured #bear, which was eventually found dead near original scene.
According to the #BCConservation Officer Service, an #investigation is underway into the incident in partnership with #Alberta Fish & Wildlife. Officials haven't confirmed whether the victim was hunting the #GrizzlyBear that attacked him. Hunting grizzly bears is prohibited in B.C., except by Indigenous people for food, social or ceremonial purposes.

The #RCMP spokesperson said police were in communication with the #Saskatchewan Conservation Officer Service throughout Thursday, but there were no conservation officers on site when the bear was shot.
People in a local Facebook group expressed #outrage about a photo circulating on social media of two RCMP officers posing with the dead bear in the bed of a pickup truck.
The bear discourse was WILD.
Any man upset that a woman would pick the bear/oblivious to why she would is a man illustrating EXACTLY why most women would pick the bear, lol.
Noticed something slightly off about the bird feeder this morning. Followed a faintly visible “bent grass" path into the woods, through a muddier section and right over a low point in our notably lame wire fence (to keep dog/chickens in) to find some faint, fresh tracks.
It's been years since a bear has visited and this seems half hearted, maybe because we only have a little bit in the feeder at any point? It didn't have any interest in garbage cans or the nearby chicken coop.
