I also created a 'complete' archive, that combines the many different ones are out there that are all incomplete. It contains the full folder structure from the original archive, the latest GW binary with PPP support and a Gopher client, the source code, example configuration for PPP/SLIP, documentation, etc.
My #Amiga500 is now connected to my RaspberryPi through PPP with the #AmigaNOS TCP/IP stack. FTP and Telnet works. Given how badly this thing is documented and how scarce the information on it is, after days of trial and error, I consider this a huge success. Saturday well spent. #amiga#retrocomputing#ka9q

I wanted to install a Gotek floppy drive emulator in an Amiga external floppy drive case. Unlike in YouTube videos, where everything is all rosy, my old floppy drive, a Roctec RF332C, had a different connector. 26 pins instead of the 34 pins + 4 pin power connector in the happy day scenario.
Using schematics hunted down in the English Amiga Board, I put together a frankenstein of a cable. It's ugly as hell, but it worked on the first try. Yay!
@root42 #MegaDrive, the best vintage game console ever, IMHO. I just love its games, hardware and capabilities, it's even slightly better than the #Amiga500, although it's not fair to compare both directly.
