My second Amiga 1200. What an absolute beauty! This is an Escom version (made in France), released after Commodore's bankruptcy in 1994. I'm very happy to add this gem to the collection 😍
I got the "mystery" #Amiga1200 expansion featured in my last video to work! Turns out it’s a 4MB RAM expansion (upgradeable to 8MB) and an optional coprocessor. Very handy for a minimal WHDLoad setup or the likes. Thanks to the fast RAM, the gained speed is quite significant considering it‘s basically "just" a RAM expansion. #RetroComputing#VintageComputing#Amiga#Commodore

I actually forgot to post here about last week's #Norwich#Amiga Group meet which was really busy and a lot of fun - I'll post some more pics at a later date.
For now though here's a highlight - one of our members created their own box for their A1200! How cool is this? And far sturdier than any cardbox box it would have originally shipped in.
I couldn't resist any longer, so I am now finally a proud owner of an #Amiga1200. It needs some hardware work (e.g. new capacitors), but seems to be otherwise fine and was for nowadays' prices almost a bargain. Before enjoying some of the exclusive AGA games, first I have to learn to play diskjockey again though - for example, 8 installation disks for the Doom clone "Nemac IV". 😅 #commodore#retrogaming#retrocomputing
Also, don’t let me down #RetroComputing fediverse. What’s the best/cheapest way to get an #Amiga to HDMI converter? I know of the pi zero way (have that going for other cases) but I need one this #Amiga500 and the #Amiga1200 (the 1940 only accepts 230/240 volt 50hz I’m afraid:/ and the fancy internal solution is over $200 and scary).
