Made myself a case for my old Kindle; bought black craft foam and contact cement from Michael's for a couple dollars, cut it to fit a swag giveaway knock-off Moleskine notebook I got while temping at a trade show years ago. A strip of black grosgrain hides the exposed binding where I tore out the notebook pages. This is version 2.0, after my wife suggested the single tab at the top.
I had a nice-looking, vintage book case, but it wore out. Hence the replacement.

Metoda "one click" u mnie nie przeszła, a przynajmniej do końca. Następnie spróbowałem ręcznej, pomieszało się trochę z tą pierwszą, i spieprzyłem (myślałem, że nie chwyciło, więc nie wybrałem języka chińskiego, i tym samym zablokowałem jb na dobre). Po kilku kolejnych próbach, które nie odnosiły w ogóle efektu, ponownie wgrałem oryginalne oprogramowanie i wtedy dopiero #JailBreak zadziałał znów — i wszystko się udało.
Z dobrych wieści, pozbyłem się reklam. Nie wiem, czy to sprawa jb, podmiany firmware'u w trakcie czy tego, że nie połączyłem go w ogóle z Internetem. Dodatkowo, zaczął "wybudzać się" dużo szybciej, i nie ma już "swipe to unlock", tylko wraca od razu w książkę.
Ze złych wieści, #KOReader mi nie chce działać. Po prostu się nie uruchamia, KUAL mi wraca na ekran główny, który po kilku sekundach się odświeża — i nic więcej się nie dzieje. Musiałbym pokombinować, jak z tego wyciągnąć jakieś logi.
Pewnie wiecie o tym, ale nie zaszkodzi przypomnieć. Zwłaszcza że zdarzyło mi się wczoraj na lotnisku.
Jeśli synchronizujecie książki z #kindle po kablu i przyjdzie Wam pomysł do zrobienia synchronizacji przez Amazon (bo nie masz kabla, a chcesz otrzymać dopiero co zakupioną książkę), wiedz, że Kindle usunie wszystkie książki wgrane po kablu.
Dla mnie niewielka strata (bo mam kopie tych książek), ale złośliwie usunęło mi książkę, którą dopiero co czytałem.
My beloved gen 1 Paperwhite #kindle died and I've chosen to replace it with a Kobo Libra 2 and start to escape the Amazon #ebook ecosystem. I've already dedrmd all my existing purchases.
Ironically I had to buy my Kobo from Amazon, only place with any stock.
Czym cieplej się robi tym mniej mam wolnych kieszeni i tym trudniej jest mi zabierać ze sobą #Kindle. Myślałem o czytniku wielkości maksymalnie typowego telefonu komórkowego, ale są tak drogie i tak słabe pod względem parametrów, że wydają mi się stratą pieniędzy. Zastanawiam się nad czytaniem na telefonie.
Jaka aplikacja najlepiej się do tego nadaje, zakładając że i tak kupuję epuby w księgarniach ebooków?
Znacie godny polecenia czytnik rozmiarów telefonu komórkowego i w max. cenie Kindle?
I have both a Kindle e-reader and a Kobo e-reader. I prefer the look and feel of the Kobo but I get significantly better cheap book offers from Amazon so the Kindle gets used an awful lot more. I do sometimes worry about authors cuts on these discounts but I generally go on to buy full price books from those authors which makes me feel less guilty.
I too have a Kindle and, whilst it is an easy way to carry a lot of books around, there is one thing about it that REALLY annoys me. Pagination - with an e-reader there is no reason to paginate - what I want is an e-reader that scrolls - page flipping is appropriate to paper books but not to electronic copy. For god's sake give us the option of uninterrupted scrolling!
If you're having a problem with your sideloaded ebooks disappearing from your Kindle due to the ongoing bug, maybe pop them into your Libreture account for safekeeping.
You can always send them to your Kindle to read using Libreture's Send to Device feature. 📕📨

Wrzucam ściągnięty font do katalogu "fonts" - otwieram książkę - chcę zmienić, nie ma go...

But am I the only one who noticed the reference in their announcement to forth coming #KindleIntegration? @robini71 it’s not worth that much money, especially if you’ve already paid for it more than once, or even once for that matter. Counting the android switch, I have paid for the thing three times. I am not paying them some outlandish amount of money just to read a book.
Looking for a way to clip content from multiple webpages into a single document, that can then be sent to an old #Kindle e-reader easily. But needs to handle comment behind paywall. Any tips out there?

Trochę to trwało, ale w końcu przeczytałem całą trylogie Czasu Żelaza. Wszystko przez to, że czekałem na promocje w cenach (tak przeczytałem pierwsze dwa tomy), a gdy zorientowałem się, że czytam sporo i warto jednak wziąć subskrypcję #Legimi to zanim chwyciłem za trzeci, ostatni tom, miałem tyle innych pozycji, które chciałem przeczytać 😉 W każdym razie teraz planuję wrzucić na czytnik Jomswikinga, ale najpierw szybki skok do Sandersona i Słonecznego Męża. Tym samym w tym roku mam już na rozkładzie 13 książek. 7 w audio i 6 na czytniku :) #czytam#książki#kindle#audiobook

Mein (geschenkter) Kindle ist offline, ich lade nur eigene PDFs darauf.
Nein, zum Genusslesen taugt das schlecht. Aber um auf Reisen mehrere Bücher dabei zu haben, inkl. meinem Liederbuch und Softwaredokumentation, wenn ich kein Internet habe, dafür ist so ein Gerät prima.
