Hi all: on our site we use Plausible Analytics - which we chose as it is privacy protecting - it does zero personal user tracking, zero cookies and only gives us or any the basic site visit data.

First day traffic:

▶️ 1.6 thousand visits last 24 hours
▶️ 5.1K pages viewed
▶️ Sign up Page: 279 users hit that to create new #Mastodon accounts
▶️ Enhance page: 638 hit that to enhance their accounts

I know the is all about decentralization. And that from , I can see and follow people from , groups from etc. But that's not really the same as to be on each of those instances.

Right now, I don't think it's possible to have the same handle everywhere. (Or even to change handle.)

I'd like to have a super app where I could, with the same handle, login to Mastodon, Lemmy, Pixelfed, activating toggles or not. Maybe it's too complicated or not a good idea.

@LinuxClaude You can use many elements of and (following, etc) wihtout having an account on their servers. Others need you to have a true seperate account on their platform. I do think a "log in with your Fediverse account" across all would be a good idea...

#fediverse noob question... Could things like #Wikipedia benefit from integrating with ActivityPub? I may be naive, but couldn't people subscribe to article updates through ActivityPub and then directly "Talk" or respond to article edit updates? Could it help their reviewers/editors in fixing content to a larger reach? Just trying to imagine possibilities.

@bennysp They can and they are.

They just implemented "rel=me" into their identiy systems allowing any Wikipedia or MediaWiki users to authenticate their identity on Mastodon and other platforms using that.

I believe that https://fediDB.org is becoming a valuable resource to the fediverse, and it's grown beyond me and my project

I'd like to steward it for another year, and then pass it on to a trustworthy organization, and allow it to evolve without my influence or bias towards Pixelfed!

@orionkidder @luce OK and smart not to oath in to untrusted sites... we have a strict privacy policy and are very minimal on the access we need to make the tools we offer work and are open to suggestions to new language to help be clear.
