The plane manufacturer has nothing to do with landing and takeoff clearance.

John Mark Dougan, former marine and police officer, now living in Russia to evade criminal charges (sh.itjust.works)

Dougan, a former Marine and police officer, fled his home in Florida in 2016 to evade criminal charges related to a massive doxxing campaign he was accused of launching against public officials and was given asylum by the Russian government. Most recently, Dougan has posed as a journalist in Ukraine’s Donbas region, testifying...

Snowden’s actions were based on a positive ethical foundation and is accused of putting people in danger, although I don’t remember those accusations being substantiated.

This guy fled because he was actively and intentionally harming people for malicious purposes. He continues to be malicious.

They are not comparable.

They are both true, and if you look at a calendar you will see that there was significant amount of time and changing circumstances between 1 and 2.

It is unreasonable to dismiss his ethically based release of information because of more recent events. He ended up with Russia because other countries were not willing to grant asylum, and even though he is a stooge now because of that outcome it does not mean he was always a shithead.

Not even close. A useful idiot is tricked into doing something they did not intend to do.

This guy is all in with Russia.

They probably have some kind of randomizer for that nowadays.

Not without enough context to know what time of day, if the person is ill, or a ton of other things that would make someone respond differently at different points in time.

The anti bot stuff is going to be looking for too much consistency, which is hard look for on its own before trying to look for some kind of ‘fingerprint’

Despite its name, the infrastructure used by the “cloud” accounts for more global greenhouse emissions than commercial flights. In 2018, for instance, the 5bn YouTube hits for the viral song Despacito used the same amount of energy it would take to heat 40,000 US homes annually.

Mixing and matching abstract measurements doesn’t work when comparing two things.

snooggums,
@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

I can’t tell if this is serious since most homes don’t need heated every day…

snooggums,
@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

Depends on location and personal preferences. Most of the US, which the article appears to be usung for home heating numbers, only needs to heat homes for a few months during the year. Sure, New York and Denver might be over half the year but Florida and southern California don’t need much heating at all.

Why have an average for something that is seasonal?

I don’t rememeber ‘men’ being prominent in the packaging and we just called the people ‘legos’ like the rest of the sets. So i’m half with you on them being kegos and not minifigs, but all of the people in the sets are just legos.

snooggums,
@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

Can’t think of a situation where that distinction would be necessary. Like for the castle set we called them knights or soldiers, police were police, that guy was that guy, etc.

snooggums,
@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

I’m with them on the lego part…

At most we get some breadcrumbs for optics right before elections, but never any real work towards real solutions.

It’s why not paying attention and just voting “blue no matter who” should never be a plan except for one election in a blue moon where something crazy just happened.

I’m voting blue no matter who because I am paying attention to Republicans trying to burn the country to the ground. I’ll take half assed non-improvement over malicious self destruction, thanks.

I’ve never been struck by a cat in a crosswalk so this suggestion checks out.

No thanks, electric vehicles being quiet is a bonus.

Now if they had the forward sensors made a moderate lebel honking noise when a potential collision with a oedestrian is detected, that would be great.

Pretty sure the investors don’t care about the traffic since it is just a grift that they can use to funnel Trump more money.

Honestly the slowdown in balance type patches is nice as I never had enough time to actually get used to the changes between playtime and the impact of ship bonuses.

Leonard Leo Built The Conservative Court. Now He's Funneling Dark Money Into Law Schools. (theintercept.com)

LEONARD LEO HAD a vision for his alma mater, and he had the money to back it up. With a donation of as much as $25 million, he wanted Cornell Law to establish the Center for the Study of the Structural Constitution — the biggest effort yet by the conservative megadonor to reshape academia in his right-wing image....

snooggums,
@snooggums@midwest.social avatar

This is one of the best reminders that Trump does not deserve credit for stacking the courts, he just did what behind the scenes conservatives wanted. Yes, Trump made that easy by using their recommendations, but even if he went away tomorrow the whole underlying push by people like Leo won’t stop.

Yeah, it’s like a human is needed to determine the context and even then a lot of people aren’t very good at that.
