This is a bit of a reach, but does anyone have a stainless steel iPod Shuffle they’d sell me? 😂

My M4 iPad Pro review is live on YouTube. It CAN be used as a legitimate “pro” device. In fact, I used it as my only computer for two weeks—everything I do on my Mac, I could do on the iPad. But it was painful and inconvenient. https://youtu.be/sFJuAjyWOc4?si=msKv-tAD8nExAVst

@davidhmccoy @macstories Kindly… what are you talking about? I didn’t go on about marketing names at all. The only thing I said was overpriced was the last-gen Magic Keyboard. As for editorializing? Yeah, I’m not gonna read a spec sheet and then say “thanks for watching.”

Ready for a deep-dive on tandem OLED technology and the N3E-derived M4 SoC found in the new iPad Pro? I'm coming with the facts and nerdy details you're not likely to find anywhere else! https://youtu.be/3moprE5S3Qc?si=zp99PdXqyhmqYO7z

The AI “revolution” will happen on the smartphone. Watch my review of the Rabbit R1 and Humane Ai Pin to learn why dedicated AI hardware (a) isn’t something you should buy yet, and, (b) why it never will be. https://youtu.be/QWs1N_pie3Q?si=0ZmNbpVifJiQKaWB

I use a custom smart list for my "today" view in Reminders (default doesn't allow for custom parameters and is thus not very 'smart' at all). Want to map Action Button to that Smart List, but it's not an option. So, Shortcuts... right?

Well, Shortcuts lets me open a "Smart List" or just a regular "List;" however, my Smart List doesn't appear in either—not in Lists because it's no regular List—but also not in Smart Lists because that apparently only shows the defaults?

Am I very dumb?

snazzyq,

@havn Even funnier: it seems the Mac version of Reminders doesn’t support opening Smart Lists at ALL!

snazzyq,
@snazzyq@mas.to avatar

@havn Possibly! Though I admit I’m not sure how to fetch the UUID of a Smart List.

@atpfm @siracusa @caseyliss @marcoarment I’m quite confident speedometer and cameras (in addition to drivetrain function) is on a RTOS. You can reboot a Rivian infotainment and it’ll show a crappy speedometer number and camera feeds on a black screen the second you reboot it even as the infotainment is rebooting (this also works under a full car reboot too FWIW after about 2-3 seconds after initial “on.”)

Dying to know the capacity of the Apple Vision Pro battery. In MKBHD's video he lists 3166 mAh on the back. I'm really curious what the Volts are, because if it's ~4V like the iPad that would be very small (12 Wh) so I doubt it

For reference the 12.9” iPad has a ~ 10000 mAh battery at 4V for a total of 40 Wh, so if the Vision Pro battery is around that, that would put it at 12V or so. That would be awesome because you could then triple your battery life with a normal 100 Wh external battery

OK, you’ve seen the videos… what questions do you still want answered about Vision Pro? It can be anything from fitment to hardware technicalities to software features, and more. Ask away and I’ll answer them in my video on Saturday

Never been more grateful than today to have done LASIK. So sorry to everyone that wears glasses or contacts that fall outside of the (seemingly narrow) supported ZEISS lens selection for Vision Pro.
